We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Software Engineering Manager.
Business: Group Data Technology
Principal responsibilities
• Leading the ESG API development team.
• Working directly with ESG delivery use cases and build API services to fulfil their business needs.
• Working with ESG IT teams to build new capabilities and enhance existing services.
• Setting and maintaining best practices and coding standards for the entire team.
• Designing and building API solutions in accordance to HSBC standards and best practices.
Requirements
• Hands on experience in Java (Minimum Java 8), Spring Boot, RDBMS, Microservices, Junit testing, Jenkins, Maven, Design patterns, Multithreading, Performance Optimization, troubleshooting issues.
• Hands on experience with Google Cloud Storage API / Google Cloud Pub/Sub API / Google Cloud Natural Language API / Google Cloud BigQuery API / Cloud SDK
• Good to have experience on PostgreSQL, Hadoop, Cucumber, agile methodologies.
• Knowledge of tools like Service Now, JIRA, GITHUB, is preferred.
• Good knowledge on CI/CD.
• Experience interacting with business stakeholders and defining technical requirements.
• Experience upskilling other (junior) team members.
• Integrating with established, complex Hadoop and GCP based projects
• Working with globally dispersed and diversified teams.
