We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an MME VHN BDM.

- Developing a business development strategy focus on healthy prospective middle market enterprise (“MME”) clients in Northern region of Vietnam.
- Research and identify prospects and providing necessary leads and sales aid / tools including joint visits with the MME RMs in Hanoi in addition to credit risk assessment guidance.
- Put in place and execute Account Planning, Critical Account Objectives, Senior Engagement Plan for major clients and enable HSBC to have access to C-suite agenda.
- Identify cross-sales opportunities and engage product partners to ensure that targets set are achieved to meet AOP strategic plan
- Manage the VHN MME team to achieve revenue target, meet the required return and other financial targets via origination and execution of Account Planning and CAOs.
- Sustainable revenue growth target for Incountry and overseas.
- Support existing portfolio of clients with a strong emphasis on proactively providing client driven value add solutions
- Execute the MME’s strategy and effectively act as First Line of Defense covering client selection, deal structuring, transaction and client monitoring and early detection of warning signals for appropriate actions.
- Ensure high quality lending by considering all strategic and key risk issues recommending for approval.
- Safeguard the Bank from potential loss by ensuring that credit reviews are kept up to date and that problem accounts are identified and dealt with at an early stage and operational controls are in place.
- Maintain and ensure due observance of HSBC Internal Control Standards, including the timely implementation of recommendations made by internal / external auditors and external regulators.
- Remain compliant with and ensures awareness of Audit and Group requirements and other internal guidelines.
- Ensures strict compliance with government banking regulations.
- Timely implement internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.
- Communicate a clear vision and strategy that is aligned to the overall HBVN strategy, values.
- Inspire and engage people to create a positive-mindset, high performing and customer-centric culture, as well as to balance the risk consideration.
- Upskill the team with technical knowledge to enable independent deal structuring and proactive risk monitoring.
- Provide honest and constructive feedback to develop and retain talents. Challenge actions and behaviors that are not consistent with HSBC's diversity policy and/or the best interests of the business and its customers.

Certifications, Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum requirement of university degree (BA) or (BS)
- Necessary management / operational experience of minimum 10 years to have maturity in leading and achieving targets
- Ability to work in a matrixed organization
- Vietnamese language a non-negotiable requirement
- Strong business development skills
