- Report to: VP Business Financial Crime Risk
- This role a core contributor role of the BFCR team directly under Client Risk Management (CRM) / Fraud, Credit and Control Services (FCCS)
- This role will be responsible for:
- WPB Group Financial Crime Risk (particularly AML/Sanction) policies interpretation
- Local policy / regulatory requirement implementation
- Supervise daily control operations and the effectiveness of control
- Coordination and communication with frontlines/channels and stakeholders for timely response to the customers or regulator
- Document and implement processes that meet the set out requirements to trigger Customers into the Customer Selection and Exit Management (CSEM) process where they pose potential Financial Crime Risk or are considered to be outside HSBC’s Risk Appetite
- Supporting QC design as required to ensure policy requirements are met
- WPB Group Financial Crime Risk (particularly AML/Sanction) policies interpretation

Information
- Proved track record or equivalent experience in the banking field is required
- Familiar with HSBC banking services, systems and process
- Have a strong concept of banking risk control and management to review the appropriateness of Operational Risk Management processes across WPB
- Operational Risk Management experience
- Attention to detail and familiarity with the local regulatory environment
- Strong communications, project management, and interpersonal skills
- English proficiency level: Upper-Intermediate level or above
