We are looking for a seasoned UAE National to join us as the Center Head, Al Ain COE. As the head, you will be responsible for overseeing the functioning of the HSBC Al-Ain Site and supervising Collections Business.

In this role, you will:
•    Managing and leading a service operations team or unit for a geographical area in the operation, delivery and execution of internal business services, technological services and transformation resources
•    Drive the execution of the overall business strategy for the area and in some cases may set the business strategy and direction
•    Maintaining reports and books for the operations of the UAE entity
•    Ensure that internal business operations are executed in accordance with prevailing rules, blueprint and design principles
•    Manage the provision of developmental activity for team members and oversee their work schedules to ensure optimum coverage for stakeholders
•    Ensure a cost efficient proposition for the remit area, whilst maintaining Service Level Agreements 
•    Maintain efficient control and governance environment which complies with HSBC policy and procedures  
•    Involvement in change and transformational initiatives and seek continuous improvements in efficiency of service provision and cost effectiveness of operations
•    Manage the daily operations of the office facility, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment including health and safety regulations.
•    Represent the Al Ain office as a point of Contact between the Bank and the Regulatory authorities in the Al Ain
•    Provide the Head office with information relating to the economic developments in Al Ain, or any other information or reports as requested by the HO.
•    Liaise with the Bank's Chief Compliance Officer and relevant regulatory authorities in Al Ain to ensure the Al Ain Office responds to, and is compliant with, all regulatory and licensing requirements.
•    Prepare and manage the operational budget for the Al Ain Office, with monthly tracking of expenditure and ensuring adherence to the budget and approval guidelines.
•    Lead accountability of Al Ain office to deliver diversified revenue streams across Group Business & Functions represented. 
•    Spearhead engagement with internal and external stakeholders’ on behalf of business & functions including but not limited to legal & compliance, risk management, regulators, and service providers for the purposes of effectively delivering and managing the center
•    Acts as an advocate of HSBC in the local community, raising profile and attracting new talent
•    Ensure Market Conduct regulation and principles are followed diligently at all times, both internally as well as with customers and broader stakeholders

Requirements

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
•    Graduation degree is a must – to secure a UAE Visa and Work Permit 
•    Strong experience in leading an office and managing large operation/teams with exposure to MENA market.
•    Broad knowledge of Banking products and supporting functions preferably collections.
•    Knowledge of UAE laws and compliances and banking industry statements etc. 
•    Team player with a positive disposition who works extremely well with subordinates, engagement of peers and superiors as well as clients as required
•    Ability to operate independently, manage/develop and lead a team.
