We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist. 

Business: Enterprise Technology 

Principal responsibilities

• Provide technical consultation to development team members with guidance of department principles. Lead teams or projects of high complexity. Initiates and conducts feasibility studies of new and modified business requirement.
• Provide technical analysis and solutions to business issues, provides consultation, researches and implements technical alternatives, and maintains awareness of business technology strategies.
• Be responsible in user requirement gathering, detailed requirement documentation by working closely with the project stakeholders including IT and business users. Ensure the business need can be translated into executable artefacts for development team.
• Work closely with stakeholders, architects, and a variety of end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction.
• Work with development team to clarify the user requirements, conduct system testing, prepare test plan and test cases.
• Work with business users on the UAT execution, defects follow-up with application development team
• Designing, coding, and debugging modernized applications
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Developing and maintaining scalable and secure cloud-based solutions utilizing either open sourced technologies or cloud native service

• A university graduate with degree in computer science or a related discipline.
• 8+ years IT experience in system development.
• Fluent oral English is required to participate in various daily conference call with colleagues around the world.
• Solid skill set and development experience in Java, Unix/Linux, Git and Maven is essential. Experience of Python is a plus.
• Solid skill set and development experience in Cloud, Kubernetes & distributing system design and implementation.
• Solid knowledge of Spring framework, hands on development experience on Spring & Spring Boot, Restful API development.
• Solid experience in web UI development.
• Technical experience in system architecture design will be strong advantage.
• Technical experience in micro service architecture, Docker, Kubernetes, gRPC, Google Cloud Platform will be strong advantage.
• Working experience with CI/CD devops process, set up, configure and maintain test environments.
• Deeply understand Agile methodologies, DevOps best practice and able to use best practice to influence developers for better productivity.
• Strong problem solving skills, able to work independently and under pressure against multiple deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and documentation skills.
• Enthusiastic and self-motivated with excellent time management skills and strong initiative.
• Any Open Source project participation or any Github or blog publication will be an advantage.
• Any GCP certifications will be a big plus.
• Any certification on architecture or programming will be a plus.
