We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Delivery Head (Data Risk and Controls Management).

Principal responsibilities

• To take the lead on product management and adoption of the various Infrastucture automation global solutions across GB/GFs to implement all-rounded self-service capabilities and process simplifications on infrastructure change activities, operations, controls, certificate renewals and service management tasks
• To actively drive improvement on Technology service resilience across CTO and Wholesale Technology services
• To drive forward Infrastructure as Code and put this into practice for infrastructure automation product development that will help shape the future of on-premises infrastructure platform
• Understand the CTO and Wholesale Technology strategy, help define technical strategy and roadmap on technology upgrade along with treatment plans for migrating technology services to modernized infrastructure platforms, including external and internal cloud hosting platform and the immutable infrastructure hosting platform
• A broad understanding and in-depth experience on supporting core infrastructure technology including but not limited to Database, Unix and Middleware technology, with comprehensive appreciation across Infrastructure management process and principles
• To stay abreast of technology trends and advise IT and the management about potential benefits or impacts
• To actively drive the innovation culture in the infrastructure discipline with a vision of transforming traditional infrastructure engineering discipline towards an efficient, SRE led infrastructure function through adoption of Infrastructure as Code principles and Agile Ways of Working
• Work collaboratively with GB/GF representatives to improve engagement and drive tangible business-aligned improvements & benefits to ensure operationally that the process delivers business value

• Proven communicator – needs to be able to communicate with all levels, from engineer to c-suite.
• A proven ability to navigate HSBC infrastructure team and structures – The ideal candidate will already have a stellar network within HSBC.
• Infrastructure Engineering technical expertise – needs to have proven all round expertise in Infrastructure engineering including UNIX, middleware and databases.
• Passionate – Has the passion and drive to push the development and adoption of the product set to the wider GBGF community
• Marketing – needs to have a proven ability to market technology products to a variety of teams
• Customer Focus – proven capabilities in listening to customer requirements. Must be extremely customer focussed and put the customer at the heart of everything they do
• Leadership – proven capability in motivating people both in and outside their team. creating a team-led culture.
• Personal Drive – must be goal oriented and have a personal drive for the success of the wider team
• Open – must be open to act on any feedback given
