We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of ETF Business Analyst - FUND SERVICES TKH.
Principal responsibilities
- Work cross-functionally with ETF Product, process owners and business SMEs to elicit requirements, analyze, design and develop business solutions with large complex business requirements.
- Ensure that sound business analysis disciplines are properly applied to all assigned projects/changes in line with Group standards. Ensure timely and quality project deliverables to meet agreed internal or external requirements.
- To work out optimized solutions for enhancements relating to core business applications to adapt the new requirement from business.
- Clearly define & document in detail requirements for internal or client requested change working with ETF Product, IT, vendors and Operations teams ensuring that requirements are understood, reviewed and signed off.
- Translation of business requirements and designs into more detailed functional requirements for HSBC IT and SaaS vendors.
- Jira - creation of epics and writing of user stories and managing the product backlog.
- Ensure that the requirements are successfully delivered. This is achieved through close working with both the ETF product team and relevant business lines to ensure current processes and future requirements are fully understood and documented, and changes to these as a result of a project are clearly communicated.
- In the implementation phase or any project or sub-project be responsible for preparation of test scripts and scenarios against the documented requirements, and the training, management and support in the execution of UAT and regression testing.
- Provide change transition support to business and client users of those systems during project lifecycle.
- Support the roll out of HSBCs ETF platform solutions across APAC, completing gap analysis for clients/regions as required and defining system enhancements as required.
- Expected to take a full and active role in meetings & workshops to provide input into strategic as well as tactical debates, with particular emphasis on how the business can support the architecture.
- Expected to raise any risks & issues with the Project Manager.
- Provide business support to the HSBC operations teams for our ETF platforms - in house and SaaS.
- At least 5+ years relevant business analyst experience in finance industry.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Contribute to the delivery of projects in the ETF Product Delivery function and adherence to internal and client committed deadlines.
- Ability to work independently, with strong problem solving skills.
- Ability to plan and organize workload to meet deadlines, taking into account relative priorities
- Ability to provide detailed and accurate business analysis & requirements documentation to solve for change requests, automate manual process/EUCs, and problem solving.
- Create and maintain procedures as well as putting the controls in place to manage the risks which are clearly identified and documented.
- Ability to provide value added advice for services and implement the delivery of it
- Ability to identify risks/issues and recommend and implement measures to ensure no recurrence,
- Resolve issues, complaints, errors and concerns of business partners,
- Be a source of expert knowledge in relation to the HSBC ETF servicing model and the platforms which support it.
- Ability to provide clear concise communication to stakeholders, both internal and Client
- Ability to manage stakeholder expectations internally and externally.
Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above.
