Enterprise Technology brings together all areas of financial crime risk management at HSBC including anti- money laundering, transaction monitoring, screening, risk assessment etc. and is dedicated to implement the most effective global standards to combat financial crime. 

Risk & Compliance technology design and deploy cutting edge technology to defend the bank and its customers from Sanctions Risk, Financial Crime Risk, Identity Threat, Unauthorised Trading and Market Abuse & Regulatory Sanctions, as well as supporting Enterprise Risk Management.  We provide the systems that enable our global businesses to grow through data-driven, pro-active risk management.

The Senior Business Analyst oversees, manages, and captures user requirements, manages and executes technical analysis as well as overseeing and supporting business and technology design, development, and governance activities. This role will provide support to the Value Stream, Sub Value Stream and Agile Team to enable business and technology change.

What you’ll do:
    • Manage, support the end to end functional and non-functional analysis to ensure a coherent design for the business and technology assets, architecture and demonstrate traceability of functional and non-functional requirements and solution design.
    • Create analysis of customer journeys and product functionality.
    • Manage and evaluate the change impact assessments of proposed requirements.
    • Understand and challenge the implications of change such as dependencies, feasibility, scope, outputs, and process.
    • Manage and provide domain expertise to support design development activities e.g., review technical documentation, help prepare for Design Authorities and other forums, work with the development team to ensure challenges raised are addressed.
    • Manage, track and report delivery progress against requirements.
    • Work with the Product Owner to manage, define and track performance measures. Support and guide the Product Owner to create/evolve Product roadmap, creation of epics and writing of user stories and managing the product backlog.
    • Help to define and track metrics and Key Performance Indicators for the product and drive the Agile Team performance, outcome metrics as required and provide expertise in Agile (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, LEAN) as well as Disciplined Agile and SAFE framework experience.

What you need to have to succeed in this role:
    • Comprehensive understanding and experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar role.
    • The ability to provide a high level of expertise in multiple technical capabilities and competencies such: as cloud, mobile, digital, security, core banking, micro services, capacity management and architecture platforms.
    • Comprehensive understanding of portfolio of design projects and technical tools may be required dependent on the scope of the Agile Team.
    • Extended expertise in process and is considered an authority in multiple areas.
    • Comprehensive understanding of risk exposure to the bank and help senior colleagues manage it.
    • Experience in driving measurable continuous improvement into all delivery environments across all disciplines.
    • Strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders and good time-management skills.
