The NAS Storage Senior Tech Specialist configures and administer performance and massive NetApp storage arrays while deploying, configuring, maintaining and supporting NAS storage arrays by ensuring that software and firmware are in keeping with the latest needs of an organization working with vendors & IT support teams to fix issues that they can’t themselves.

Also, keeps and handles replication capabilities of DR data to make sure that data is recovered, in case of any glitches. One of their primary duties is creating data usage and precise performance reports. They actively participate in technical meetings to suggest new ways to provide storage, secured access, and better efficiency and follow strict privacy regulations to prevent data leaks to non-authorized personnel.

Furthermore, will ensure that the NAS infrastructure effectively supports the ongoing business operations, revenue, and strategic direction. Will collaborate closely with your peers and colleagues within the Global Storage Support team ensuring we deliver quality service to our customers. To achieve success, this position will need to work closely with Design and Engineering, Service Introduction, Delivery, and other IT teams to ensure smooth functioning of the underlying NAS storage infrastructure.

  • Proven experience in NetApp storage administration and support.
  • Certifications such as NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA) or equivalent are a plus.
  • Strong experience in NetApp 7-mode and cluster-mode configuration and support.
  • Strong experience in Networking architectures & concepts (CCNA desired).
  • Strong experience in Windows Server DFS management, configuration and support.
  • Strong experience in McAfee VSES Antivirus solution for Windows & Linux environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of NetApp suite of products (Snapmirror, SnapVault, SnapManager, Cloud Insights, AIQM, etc).
  • Strong knowledge of storage protocols (FC, iSCOSI, NFS CIFS).
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong knowledge of backup and recovery concepts, including tape and disk-based solutions.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware) and snapshot backup solutions.
  • Excellent scripting skills for automation (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).
  • Configuration and support of NDMP backups between a NetApp and third-party backup products.
  • Knowledge in UNIX, Linux & Window operating systems (certification is a plus).
  • Knowledge in Windows clusters, VMware troubleshooting, SQL Clustering and Virtual storage troubleshooting mandatory.
  • Responsible for infrastructure support and projects including system design, planning, installations, configurations, upgrades, and planning.
  • Work with intercultural teams distributed in global regions to ensure a smooth project deployment for every country responsible for.
  • Provide storage infrastructure system management including capacity planning, performance monitoring and tuning, security management etc.
  • Should Manage Tier-3 support following ITIL practice and incident management.
  • Proven experience in complex, enterprise level NAS platform in a mission critical environment
  • Should Leads technical assessments of hardware, software, tools, applications, firmware, middleware, and operating systems to support business operations.
  • Experience working with Agile & DevOps methodologies and ITIL best practices.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field.
  • 5+ years in storage administration, specifically managing NAS environments.
  • Proven experience in supporting storage systems and resolving related incidents.
  • Proficient in incident and change management, preferably with ServiceNow (SNOW).
  • Strong communication skills, capable of effectively articulating technical issues and solutions to stakeholders.
  • Expertise in troubleshooting complex storage issues.
  • Solid understanding of storage networking protocols (iSCSI, FC, NFS, CIFS).
  • Skilled in Linux Shell, PowerShell, or other scripting languages for automation tasks. 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure.
  • Proven experience in NetApp storage administration and support.
  • Certifications such as NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA) or equivalent are a plus.
  • Knowledge in UNIX, Linux & Window operating systems (certification is a plus).
