Wealth and Personal Banking is our new global business combining Retail Banking and Wealth Management; and Global Private Banking, to become one of the world’s largest global wealth managers with USD1.4 trillion in assets. Our dedicated colleagues serve millions of customers worldwide across the entire spectrum of private wealth, ranging from personal banking for individuals and families, through to business owners, investors and ultra-high-net-worth individuals. We provide products and services such as bank accounts, credit cards, personal loans and mortgages, as well as asset management, insurance, wealth management and private banking, that best suit our customers’ needs.
We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our Wealth and Personal Banking team, working together with colleagues to define, manage and achieve divisional business targets.
In this role, you will:
- The purpose of the role is to acquire quality funded Premier (balance based) customers for HSBC and cross sell relevant products to them at time of Premier onboarding. This requires the ability to build strong business relationships that will source these high value customers, and to understand in detail the benefits of the Premier proposition.
- The role holder will be rated and compensated on their ability to acquire funded (balance based) quality customer relationships for the bank and to successfully articulate the value and benefits of specific products which best meet these high-net-worth customers’ needs, including Wealth (Insurance & Investment) solutions, credit solutions, etc. through successful referrals to the Premier Services / Relationship Management team.
- A strong working relationship is required between the job holder and key stakeholders within the wider Premier & wealth teams to ensure there is a seamless transfer of the customer relationship once fully established.
- The role holder must work in close partnership with branch management. Premier Service and Premier Wealth Management teams, Commercial Banking and Marketing in order to acquire quality relationships to meet the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) objectives and maximize profitability.
- Responsible for acquiring premier customers who are balanced based only (i.e. bring balance of USD 120k and above). Also, responsible for driving other needs/referrals and cross sales.
- An integral part of the role would also include supporting and contributing in building market position by locating, developing, defining and negotiating WPB product solutions for the employees of our existing clients.
To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
Knowledge / Experience
• Graduation degree is a must – to secure a UAE Visa and Work Permit
• A full understanding of the WPB products (propositions) and services, including the global service standards, and the ability to communicate this effectively to customers.
• Proven experience selling to and working with high-net-worth individuals.
• Knowledge of developing a networking strategy and proven ability to achieve sales targets.
• Knowledge of competitor activity and propositions
• Strong understanding of HSBC Group, including cross business awareness
