We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Software Engineer.

 

Business: CTO Infrastructure

 

Principal responsibilities

  • Involved in the design, deployment, maintenance, and service improvement of network operation application infrastructure.
  • Develop and fulfill business value according to high-level and lower-level solution document
  • Participate or drive Automation within Connectivity team.
  • The role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day application development in GCP/HIC/IKP, and operation of the platform cloud infrastructure and HIC/IKP. This role will focus upon development and engineering for Python Django application running in Kubernetes, work upon data engineering use case to delivery data integration, and network operation application and workflow development.
  • The role will also be responsible for managing cloud resources, ensuring system reliability, performance, and security, and leading a team of cloud engineers and administrators if needed
  • The role will work closely working closely with product owners / business analyst / operation team and data engineer to complete solution delivery. Also, the role will require operational understanding to ensure a smooth operation and resilience for all applications and application hosting infrastructure within the platforms.
Requirements

University graduate with a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline

Required - Knowledge in network management fundamentals.

(e.g. MIB/OID, SNMP, NetFlow & Syslog)

Required – Proven experience as full stack developer or similar role / More than 5 years of experience.

Required - Basic knowledge in Linux and Windows Servers platforms, Databases and queries.

Required Data Engineer and Telemetry - one or more of below–

  • LADP Database -(Clickhouse, Splunk etc.)
  • App Observability(Open Telemetry, Stream Telemetry).
  • Logging, visulization(e.g. Prometheus/Grafana, ELK, Splunk)
  • Graph DB experience -(Neo4J etc.)
  • knowledge in Automation techniques and technologies(e.g. Expect, Ansible)

Strongly Preferred– Cloud Ops Experience 2 or more of below

  • Deployment and Integration -(Jenkins, GitOps, Hashicorp vault, Terraform, etc.)
  • knowledge and experience in Cloud Administration and cost optimization(GCP / AWS, IKP).
  • knowledge in Docker and Container(e.g. Kubernetes / GKE)
  • knowledge in Cloud Security Fulfilment(e.g. Secret Management / Security Scanning / Cloud Vulnerability Fixing)

Strongly Preferred – Key Initiatives Experience:

  • Experience in Network Automation(e.g. Network Operation Workflow Automation / Network Troubleshooting Automation)
  • Experience in Statistical Process Control (Network SPC/Data analysis on SPC implementation)

Preferred Change Management and Release Control Management -

  • Change Management and Incident Management
  • Problem Management
  • Release Strategy / Testing Strategy / Deployment Strategy
  • Mode 2 / DevOps Change Adoption Experience

Preferred Good knowledge on one or more of different - Network Management tools -

  • Fault management systems( like NNMi product)
  • Configuration management systems( like HP NA product)
  • Performance management systems( like Riverbed’s Cascade product / SteelHead or Sevone)
  • Security/Log management systems( like Cisco’s  ISE or Splunk)
  • Cloud related Network management systems.

Preferred –

  • CCNA/ CCNP or similar networking certifications

Any Programming certification

Cloud certification ( GCP or AWS )

Kubernetes Certification (CKA / CKAD)

ITIL certification 

  • General skills -
  • Good interpersonal, analytical and communication skills
  • Self-motivated, positive, and flexible with ability to work independently.
  • Willing to work in a global team and sometimes non-office hours.
  • Good command of English

Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above.
