Job Introduction

The job-holder has responsibility of providing fund administration services to all local Institutional clients, viz. Mutual Funds, AIFs, Insurance Companies and PMS clients. Must be responsible to lead and oversee the Accounting and Valuation operations across client segments managing a team of 35+ team members.

Principal Responsibilities 

This is a leadership role, principal accountabilities of the role are as follows:

  • Decision-making skills on a regular basis on issues ranging from systems, processes to risk management and compliance
  • Regulations are constantly evolving and client requirements are also dynamic, the job holder is required to ensure that the team adapts quickly to the dynamic environment and delivers on regulatory changes and client requirements
  • The Fund Services business carries a very high level of operational risk in terms of errors etc. This demands the job-holder to ensure high levels of internal controls on processes to ensure error-free processing, which becomes more critical due to system limitations
  • Build and maintain relationships with key client decision makers and act as a client advocate and point of escalation to help them successfully resolve issues and navigate the firm. The incumbent is expected to support Business Development & Product teams to achieve strategic development of FS business by joining up with them in client presentations, defining efficient target operating model & defining the People strategy for the business 

The Funds Services (FS) team is a 35+ member team managing end-to-end fund accounting process (i.e. capital processing, trades processing, Income & expense processing, net asset value computation, audit support, client reporting stc.) for Mutual fund, Insurance, Alternative investment funds and Potfolio Maangement services clients.

 The job-holder will be managing the Operations team and given that the operations is quite intensive and involves high stress levels, the job-holder will need to ensure adequate motivation/job satisfaction levels within the team and this is a critical role for the SSv India business.

Role Requirements :

The role holder requires a very niche and specialized experience of Fund Accounting with ability to connect with clients and build long term relationships. Some of the key requirements for the role are:

  • 20+ years of core Fund Accounting experience / specialization
  • Hands on experience on FA systems like Multifonds and Wealth Spectrum
  • Deep connect and strong relationship with key local Institutional entities like Domestic Mutual Funds, PMS service providers and Insurance Firms
  • Dual experience of Operations (including people management) and Client interaction including independently managing client RFP pitches / presentations
  • Professional Chartered Accountancy Degree will be preferred

    Minimum Graduation or as required for the role, whichever is higher

    Additional Information

    Mandatory to successfully complete Anti-Money Laundering and Sanctions training and post-course assessment, as required.
