The Opportunity:

• As part of the Fraud & Credit Decision Systems team under FCS, you will play a key role in delivering and supporting Credit & Fraud risk management tools, systems, and data across HSBC. The team acts as a Decision Engine Centre of Excellence, facilitating account originations, management strategies, and Credit Bureau Management through FIM-approved decision engines. This role involves close collaboration with IT teams and end users to ensure seamless implementation.

What you’ll do:

• Support the definition and design of Decision Systems Technology Strategy i.e., build Cloud based Cognitive decision infrastructure for implementation of Advance Analytics with performance at scale.
• Deliver & execute the roll out of Future State decision system across any HSBC market.
• Deliver the FCS Decision Optimization program objectives related to development and implementation of Machine learning models, access to new external data and improvement of Credit Straight through processing, Turnaround time etc.
• Join up with IWPB teams to deliver a consistent Cloud based Decisioning Infrastructure across Underwriting, Originations, Fraud and Account Management.
• Implement best practices and standardize the change management process across various region.
• Create global standard service levels & deliver MI to support operational monitoring of Future Decision Systems service.

What you will need to succeed in the role:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in any of the discipline like Computer Science, IT, Operations Research, Economics, Mathematics from a reputed university or MCA from a reputed university.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience on Python programing, Git, GitHub, Python Test Framework (PyTest), Visual Studio Code (VS Code)
• Knowledge on python code quality guidelines (PEP 8, SonarQube)
• Knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, presentation, and interpersonal skills

What additional skills will be good to have?

• Experience on BigQuery.
• Experience on working with Jenkins Pipelines (CI/CD), Airflow DAGs
• Experience on credit decisioning product(s) E.g., Experian Power Curve, SMg3, SAS Intelligent Decisioning, Provenir etc.
