We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of API Developer.

We are looking for an experienced Technology leader with strong knowledge of digital banking and extensive hands-on experience in APIs and Microservices based architecture to be part of the Business banking UK. The associate will lead the technology teams responsible to deliver end to end banking solutions using latest technologies such as Java Springboot , REACT JS , AWS and GCP.

In this role you will:

•  Provide technical leadership to a team of Java Springboot developers
•  Work closely with architects, business analysts and component leads during discovery and elaboration phase to ensure the solution is technically feasible
•  Be the point of contact of any consultation required by PODs for execution of proof of concepts 
•  Liaise with API team, AIM team to set design standards and review the same periodically
•  Drive PODs to maintain engineering related defects to a minimum 
•  Always be in touch with industry trends and bring in best practices to keep the engineering process relevant and effective
•  Analyse / Review the requirement, prepare the design document, as well as contribute to core code development.
•  Ensure delivery within schedule by adhering to the engineering and quality standards. 
•  Develop / modify / Review the code as per the design and then develop the unit test plan, test cases and test data as per the design. 

Requirements

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

•  Overall IT experience with Java, Spring, Spring Boot, NoSQL, APIs
•  Integration Experience in Microservice architecture and development. 
•  Hands on experience on Springbook
•  Experience on Web Services (REST, SOAP). 
•  Knowledge of XML, JSON , Swagger etc 
•  Hands on experience on Spring Framework. 
•  Experience in working closely with Test leads and have some testing background 
•  Nice to have - Hands on experience in working in Cloud environment such as GCP and AWS
