Within International Wealth and Premier Banking, we serve 41 million customers globally, including 6.7 million who are international, from retail customers to ultra-high net worth individuals and their families. We help our customers look after their day-to-day finances and manage, protect and grow their wealth. The International Wealth and Premier Banking Chief Operating Office supports the business to deliver exceptional customer journeys and increase efficiency across our global network. We support the business through effective governance, financial and risk management, transformation, and operational management, ensuring that all International Wealth and Premier Banking business units and markets have the right capabilities and procedures to compete effectively and grow safely. We work in an agile manner and at pace, partnering with teams in Technology and Digital Business Services to bring innovative, digital-first solutions to our customers.

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Associate Director.

Principal Responsibilities

In this role you will

  • Maximizes productivity, efficiency and profitability

  • Ensure the highest level of support to meet on-going business needs

  • Manages day-to-day operational activities to safeguard the bank from potential loss

  • Develops a quality staff force through good performance management, achieving FAST goal and through training and motivation

  • Supports new business development and change initiatives

  • Executes approved strategies and business plans and market changes projects

Requirements

To be successful you will need

  • Strong experience in Securities Operations. Strategic mind-set, with strong conceptual, critical and analytical skills

  • Energetic, results focused, change agent, with a strong work ethic

  • Strong organization, multi-tasking and time management skills

  • Personal qualities of stability, maturity and leadership. Team player and people motivator

  • First class interpersonal, collaborative, relationship building and influencing skills

  • Excellent communicator, ability to work in English both verbally and in writing, with strong presentation skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance or Business Studies equivalent is advantage

  • Demonstrates an in-depth knowledge of HK stock market, Stock Connect, US Stock market and with Structure product knowledge is advantage
