Business Banking
Through Business Banking our global network offers comprehensive support and services to businesses in the SME market. From expanding overseas to managing the cash and trade flows of an established enterprise, the Business Banking team of Relationship Managers and Product Specialists provides a range of end-to end solutions designed to help small and large businesses reach their potential.
We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join the Business Banking team.
The jobholder is expected to source and manage Business Banking customers and relationships by allocating time and resources effectively to successfully win new quality business from our competitors by acting as BB Relationship Manager. The jobholder will develop and maintain a robust network of business introducers, driving revenue growth via acquisition of quality new relationships and increased referral business.
Principal Responsibilities
- Acquire as well as manage a portfolio of Business Banking clients
- Primary responsibilities would be 2 fold:
- New Business development, creating robust sourcing channels, liaise with internal and external stakeholders towards on-boarding servicing the client and adherence to internal guidelines for any new on-boarding.
- Managing a portfolio of clients, enhancing HSBC’s wallet share by deepening relationship, cross-sell of suitable products and perform periodic due diligence on all relationships managed.
- Be an active member of the team and contribute towards building an innovative culture and come out with ideas to enhance overall performance
- Ensure that the candidate keeps themselves abreast with the latest in the market, competition benchmarks and latest in banking technology including digital developments.
- Have a strong sense of how businesses work specially in the SME space and acumen for understanding business dynamics and requirement mapping.
- Preferred candidates will have strong B2B experience in the Banking space
- Good knowledge on some of the products that include GTRF. GLCM and Treasury.
- Strong experience in creating new business opportunities and acquiring clients for the organisation.
- Min work experience of 2-5 years post MBA.
Eligibility Criteria
- India Bank / INM employees will be eligible to apply to this role after completion of 12 months in the current role/position at the time of application on level transfer and/or promotion.
- Entity Employees (not from India Bank) to be guided by their internal policy on tenure completion in current role at the time of application before applying and share line manager approval once shortlisted.
- INM Employees in scope of WPB Career Progression Framework not eligible to apply to roles within the purview of the Framework

- Mandatory to successfully complete Anti-Money Laundering and Sanctions training and post-course assessment, as required.
