Actively managing risk covers a wide range of activities from identifying and analyzing current and emerging risks, to embedding risk appetite, enhancing our controls, strengthening our risk management capabilities and much more.

Guangzhou Tech Center is one of the strategic locations of Traded Risk IT global blueprint.

The Opportunity:

We are now seeking experienced and ambitious IT professionals to join our Traded Risk IT team to develop and implement solutions to support traded market risk area globally.

What you’ll do: 

• Lead or assist teammate to provide business & technical solutions fit for business needs.
• Communicate with business users, work closely with transformation and business team globally on joint delivery.
• Design and develop Global risk system.
• Conduct system tests, user acceptance tests and provide support on system implementation.
• Ensure a high-quality standard of deliverables according to HSBC standards and best practices.
• Prepare project-related documentation and provide support on compliance and audit checking.

• A university graduate with a degree in computer science, IT or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 6 years' IT software development experience
• Welcome enthusiastic and self-motivated person to work as part of the team.
• Good communication in English in order to work with a global team.
• Java 11+, Spring, Spring Boot, and Micro Services
• RESTful API design.
• Container technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes.
• Jenkins and pipeline development

What additional skills will be good to have?

• Development and deployment of software to a cloud based service provider such as GCP, AWS, AliCloud.
• Devops related tooling such as Ansible, Terraform.
