The Cyber Security Technology & Engineering function supports a number of technologies and services across a globally dispersed team. This includes, Data Loss Prevention, Security Infrastructure and vulnerability management.  These collective teams assure critical functions and billions of pounds worth of transactions across the organisation.

The Cyber DLP Specialist role-holder is charged with protecting the HSBC brand, shareholder value, information and financial assets, in the following ways:
 
•    Supporting the HSBC Cyber Security delivery and operating Strategy
•    Providing key representation for and source of expertise on all issues related to DLP policies and governance.
•    Support the delivery of tooling to implement controls ensuring compliance with HSBC Data Security policies and standards
•    Collaborate to drive the implementation of the enterprise wide and regional / business level IT Strategy.
•    Ensure information security requirements are adhered to globally by ensuring effective compliance and measures are in place.
•    Drive engagement with all relevant regional and global stakeholders (cyber security colleagues across Strategy and Architecture, Security Shared Services, Security Engineering and business and IT Functions).
•    Lead definition of scope and prioritisation of user stories to be developed including acceptance criteria/definition of done.
•    Interact with stakeholders across the organisation to understand their security needs and expectations.
•    Monitor and communicate progress of Service/policy performance through agreed indicators and metrics.
•    Close working with Control Owners: Oversees Control Owner activity from a technical point-of-view, e.g. accurate assessment of control defect severities.
•    Close working with Service Owners: understands general performance of associated services, exceptions, customer feedback and service uplift roadmaps.
•    Close working with Technology/Platform Owners: understands general performance of associated IT services, significant bugs, technology health, customer feedback and technology uplift roadmaps (including technical debt resolution). 

Requirements

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
 
•    Prior exposure to DLP products (ideally at least 2 from Skyhigh DLP, Skyhigh CASB and MIP data classification products)
•    Experience with the management of DLP policies and guidelines
•    Excellent documentation and task management skills using tools such as Confluence and Jira 
•    Strong experience working with Audit, Second Lines of defense and external regulators
•    Strong Stakeholder Management skills, and the ability to host/lead DLP governance meetings
