The Opportunity:
- The Wholesale Client Services Business Intelligence functions is a BI and Data Warehousing unit responsible for smart data warehousing of huge data from all functions within WCS and designing/ implementing BI solutions/ suites. Enabling visibility and intelligence to the business to measure and improve performance and make smarter and faster decisions that will drive overall improvement to the Client lifecycle. Business Intelligence sits within Client Operations as part of the Wholesale Client Services Function. Wholesale Client Services comprises: New to Bank(NTB), Existing to Bank(ETB), Credit Analysis Unit, Service Management, Regulatory Business Support, Exits, Wholesale Client Services Centre’s.
What you’ll do:
Role of Data Analyst
- This is a key position to harness strategic insights for HSBC WCS Business Analyst will be conducting statistical and thematic analytics on the Digital query management data in partnership with global team across GPS, GTS , HSBCnet and RSM teams to turn data into critical information and knowledge via implementation of end-to-end reporting solutions
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business processes and requirements
- Conduct analysis and documentation of business needs and system requirements
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of solutions
- Assist in the testing and quality assurance of developed solutions
- Provide support and training to end-users on implemented systems.
- Identify areas for process improvement and propose innovative solutions
Major Challenges to Overcome
- Strategically designing robust database/programming/ Data engineering pipeline to meet the aggressive needs of business / functions
- Identifying inconsistencies in processes by questioning the odd and implementing rational solutions that suit the business needs
Requirements
What you will need to succeed in the role:
Skills/Experience Required
- University degree or above
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- strong knowledge on the Microsoft office tools
- Query management would be added advantage
- Knowledge of business analysis methodologies and tools
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools
- High level of customer centricity mindset with dedication to deliver exceptional quality services for customers

- Outstanding written / verbal communication and presentation skills
- Aptitude to engage a diverse group of stakeholders to deliver at pace
