Enterprise Technology is the Technology organisation responsible for the design, build and ongoing maintenance of the systems owned by the Group Functions (Risk, Compliance, Finance, Core Banking, Corporate Functions and Deputy COO). The organisation consists of over 8,000 people working in collaboration across 14 countries, to support over 3,000 applications.

Foundations IT, part of the wider FinEX technology department is responsible for:

·         the delivery of common components and frameworks that both itself and other Value Stream IT teams utilize to deliver business solutions and outcomes

·         the operation of the Finance Cloud Data platform (FCDP) and the delivery of 'data products' on the platform to meet the needs of the Value Streams

·         the development and operation of the RADAR data distribution platform

·         delivery of Regulatory Reporting solutions to support the Finance & Risk functions

In this role you will:

·         Build, test and deploy reliable and scalable pipelines which can be leveraged in order to ingest, process and structure financial data.

·         Work collaboratively with Finance DAO in order to design logical data models capable of focusing on higher level business concepts.

·         Build, test and deploy the corresponding physical data models required in order to embed the required business level concepts into systemic solutions

·         Implement robust data quality frameworks which allow for the validation of accuracy, completeness and consistency of financial data from a range of disparate source systems

·         Support data governance initiatives by ensuring that internally defined standards with respective to metadata are being adhered to

·         Leverage a combination of tooling in order to establish lineage across multiple systems in relation to a number of different Finance reports.

Requirements

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

·         Proven experience working with data in a financial context

·         Familiarity with SQL, particularly in the context of GCP

·         Understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modelling and data lake architectures

·         Strong understanding of financial data concepts including familiarity with General Ledger, P&L and regulatory data

This role is based in Sheffield and offers hybrid working.
