We are currently seeking a professional individual to join this team in the role of: Desk Head – Private Banking
 
This role is responsible for maintaining and growing profitable long-term relationships with priority HSBC clients within sector/country. The holder will need to establish a holistic understanding of clients needs, operating  with the top decision makers within the client organisation.

In this role, you will:
 
•    Drive the financial targets established for GPB CIIOM from the PBUK PAO1 Desk in Guernsey and UK corridor including Net New Money, Revenue, Investment Mandates, Credit Facilities, New Accounts and RoTCP. 
•    Lead, coach and supervise the PAO1 RM team and foster a team environment, supporting all team members to develop their capabilities.
•    Develop and nurture highly efective partnerships with the PBUK Market Heads, Team Heads, Relationship Managers, Investment Councellors and client coverage teams to dedepen and broaden the adoption of GPB CIIOM for UK Market clients and clients with offshore servicing requirements. 
•    Oversee the Supervisory activities of the team – including all areas of material risk.
•    Deliver innovative high value solutions across all product lines, gaining significant business and sustainable returns for banking and the wider Group and provide leadership to teams to support and deliver client performance against plan.

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
 
•    Technically proficient with experience and a track record of successfully leading a private banking team within the target client segment.
•    Solid investment trading desk exposure and knowledge with a minimum Level 4 Investment Qualification (PCIAM or equivalent) is essential
•    Proven leadership skills and experience of undertaking supervisory activities in a regulated role with experience of reviewing investment suitability and appropriateness.
•    Articulate with comprehensive knowledge of Private Banking (or equivalent) products and services and exemplary senior stakeholder management skills
•    Understanding of risk management and financial markets and complex investment and banking solutions.
