Senior Business Analyst - ESG Data & Analytics

The Data and Architecture Office (DAO) was established to transform HSBC into a truly data-driven organisation by ensuring that every design decision has a built-in data consideration. As DAO we will provide leadership that enables data and analytics to be a key driver of our business strategy. Working closely in partnership with senior stakeholders and delivery teams all over the world to connect the business processes, data, products, services, and technology that underpin customer value and financial success.

 

Business Analytics is a capability within the Group-level Data & Analytics function. This capability communicates the power and purpose of Analytics, AI and ML, identifies new opportunities to create value and provides the expertise needed to support delivery

 

In this fantastic role, you will manage and execute business analysis activity for one or more programmes.

 

DAO ESG enables HSBC’s businesses and clients to unlock the value of data through visualisations, insights, self-service analytics and high quality reusable ESG data assets. It is currently delivering data, visualisations and analytics for HSBC’s large scale strategic initiatives, including ESG and transition to Net Zero

 

 

In this role, duties will include:

 

·         Capturing, analysing and documenting business process including process mapping on the relevant flows such as system flows, data flows, workflows, etc.

·         Elicitation of the right requirements and produce requirement documentation and artefacts.

·         Participating in the designing of solutions or change interventions that meets the right level of acceptance criteria

·         Participating in change management activities which can include tasks such as timeline planning to stakeholder engagement

·         Champion Agile ways of working and JIRA issue management

·         Collaborating in change interventions such as training and communication

·         Tracking and documenting progress and managing status reporting

·         Defining the testing strategy and validation requirements; assisting in the implementation of solutions

Requirements
