Financial Crime is a global function that serves to protect our customers, the firm and the integrity of the global financial system against financial crime. The Financial Crime team comprises risk specialists across money laundering, fraud, sanctions, tax transparency, bribery and corruption and terrorist financing; advisors who review and challenge business capabilities and strategies; and investigation and detection teams using data, technology and operating processes to manage our financial crime risk. 

This role provides executive administrative support to the ASP Head of Financial Crime Investigations, as well as supporting the wider department and leadership team. The role holder will provide diary management, manage meeting and workplace logistics, coordinate travel and prepare expenses, and support with wider departmental management for business continuity, new joiners, team events and ad hoc requests.

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Executive Assistant.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to senior leaders and their direct reports
  • Diary management
  • Co-ordinate travel and accommodation requirements
  • Prepare & process monthly expenses
  • Assist team with day-to-day office management and general up-keep requirements, including IT and stationery requests, as well as on-boarding/off-boarding of new joiners & leavers
Requirements
  • An abundance of common sense, drive, and ability to proactively anticipate areas of support needed
  • Strong time management and organisation skills: ability to prioritise tasks and work to deadlines, at times under pressure and with minimal supervision
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong team player
  • Strong trustworthiness and integrity, with proven ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Flexibility of approach, together with a ‘can-do’ attitude, is key
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office applications, including use of Outlook as a business tool
  • Previous experience of HSBC’s internal systems/applications would be advantageous
