The Opportunity:
You will be the frontline ambassador of HSBC’s Collections team, ensuring timely recoveries while maintaining customer trust.
- Hands-on experience in financial risk mitigation and regulatory compliance.
- Training in negotiation, financial analysis, and customer engagement techniques.
- Exposure to cross-border collaboration (e.g., HK/AU/CN teams).
What you’ll do:
- Mainly responsible for HSBC Australia's collection work, work schedules is covering AU time zones, including half year 7am-4pm (Oct-Mar), half year 8am-5pm(Apr- Sep) or 830-1730, depend on the role rotating.
- Assist in managing the bank's internal credit risk and avoid financial losses.
- Provide professional telephone services to understand the customer's basic financial situation.
- Make corresponding financial analysis based on the information and background provided by the customer, and provide corresponding debt relief solutions.
What you will need to succeed in the role:
- Excellent customer service awareness and willingness to work in customer service.
- Fluent in Cantonese, good negotiation skills and fluent in English communication, reading and writing.
- Familiar with office software operation; good personal financial analysis skills.
- Candidates with customer service or related work experience are preferred.
- Ability to independently handle complex situations of customers with financial difficulties or vulnerable groups and provide sufficient analysis and solutions.
What additional skills will be good to have?
- College English CET-6 or Professional English TEM-4 is preferred.
- Bank credit approval or related collection work experience is preferred.
- At least three years of customer service or related work experience is preferred.
- Familiar with Excel and able to use it for data analysis is preferred.
