  Third Party Management (“TPM”) is a first line global function responsible for developing the tools and processes to enable the Bank to be compliant with the Group Third Party Risk Policy and relevant regulatory expectations.

The topic of Third Party Risk is a key area of focus for the Bank, and continues to be at the top of the regulatory agenda for financial services regulators.  As such, internal policies and regulatory guidance and expectations in this area are continuously evolving.

To achieve compliance with internal policy and regulatory expectations, HSBC has built technology platforms and risk assessment processes in the 1st line to undertake the assessment, due diligence, monitoring and assurance of Third Party Risk.

TPM Governance and Control is responsible for the development and maintenance of Group-wide TPM frameworks and standards, ensuring TPM processes are in alignment with new and evolving internal (policy) and external (regulatory) requirements, governance to ensure processes are embedded globally and operating effectively, and monitoring of the regulatory landscape.


What you’ll do
• A regulatory environment that changes and adapts rapidly resulting in TPM being a dynamic environment. 
• Working within a matrix environment to meet Entity and GBGI insight. 
• A need to communicate the importance of TPM to a wide number of stakeholders and TPM remaining as a topic in its infancy.
• This role will provide direct support to the TPM Governance and Oversight Senior Manager and TPM Governance and Oversight Director. 
• The role holder will contribute in interfacing with 1LOD colleagues across all GBGF and Regions to ensure TPM processes are adhered to and ensuring key activities are completed by the business or function.
• The role holder will be responsible for specific initiatives established to ensure third party risks are being managed and mitigated.   
• The role holder will help develop, maintain, implement and use Global Third Party Management metrics aligned to risk and controls and help to show how effectively TPM processes are conducted globally.  
• The role holder will help to identify emerging TPM issues, create a plan of action to remediate, execute the plan and help define an oversight process to monitor such issues. 
• The role holder will support regular TPM Risk Forums by contributing information and MI for the GB/GIs and Regions to consume and conduct adhoc projects to show we are adhering to TPM Global Policy. This will include development of materials and monitoring of actions and minutes. 
• The role holder will highlight and support the remediation of Data issues that adversely affect the ability to report to our internal and external stakeholders such as our regulators. 
• The role holder will interface proactively with the Global TPM Support Hub to ensure Global Risk Oversight activities are met. This will form an effective relationship between the Global TPM Support Hub and Global Risk Oversight function. 
• The role holder will support in the maintenance and ongoing overview of internal audit and management identified issues.

What you need to have to succeed in this role
• Third Party Risk Management experience is desired but not essential.  
• Procurement knowledge and experience is required.  
• Experience of Data handling, MI and Reporting and Excel is required. 
• Experience of project management is desired.
