Role and Responsibilities:

 

The Global Network Banking (GNB) Relationship Associate assists Relationship Managers (RMs) in building relationships by recommending products and services to the RMs and preparing them for client meetings. The job holder will triage product sales opportunities, coordinate the product fulfilment, and complete due diligence for existing client portfolio and new business opportunities.

 

Role holders will carry out activities that will include most of the following:

·       Attend client meetings as necessary with Relationship Manager.

·       Prepare all relevant pre and post customer documentation, collation /analysis of financial/non-financial information and coordination of products/solutions which suit customer needs.

·       Collaborating with product partners to identify and match customer needs with relevant expertise; notably with GTS (Global Trade Solutions), GPS (Global Payments Solutions) and MSS (Global Markets).

·       Provide full operational support to the team, as required, anticipating workload and supporting with appropriate materials.

·       Ensure timely and accurate maintenance of customer information in Group systems.

·       Perform ad-hoc duties as required by the team or business.

·       Provide excellent customer service at all times.

·       Focus on the end user at all times: HSBC customers (internal or external).

·       Own and resolve issues with all stakeholders or customers and escalate where appropriate.

Requirements

Professional Skills and Experience;

·       Bachelor´s Degree in Finance, accounting or related fields. 

·       Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position with international needs.

·       Good level of business acumen and commercial awareness, including economic, cultural, procedural and regulatory issues.

·       Fluent in Portuguese and English, knowledge of other languages (German, French, Spanish) is a strong preference.

·       Ability to interact with business customers at all levels.

·       Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact and build relationships with internal and

·       external stakeholders.

·       Excellent time management, planning and organization skills.

·       Excellent range of communication skills, including written, verbal and the ability to deliver compelling presentations.

·       Strong analytical skills.

·       Strong credit assessment skills, particularly with regard to more complex and structured facilities with an international dimension.

·       CPA-20 Certification.
