Work Location: Pune

In this role, you will:

  • Test environments build and support.
  • Infrastructure Management which comprises of critical vulnerability fixing, OS/DB patching, certificate renewals etc.
  • Code Management via CI/CD pipelines and with the help of DevOps tools
  • Automating manual tasks with the help of shell scripts and Control M jobs.
  • Providing 24*7 test environment support.

They drive technical decisions, architectural design discussions, systems integration, and solve complex problems.  They use their deep experience leading advancements in technology, which may be at a project or organizational level, to influence technical direction. These leaders know how to interpret customer leadership guidance and direction, and translate it into actionable plans, requirements, and strategies. They have proven experience delegating resources and tasks and transforming ideas into operational capabilities and lead by example.

What you’ll do: 

  • Understand the business requirements of GPP product and interfaces and support test engineers to create test artifacts and support in test execution.
  • Ensuring that the delivery of projects into the live system meet the agreed quality expectations and are compliant with all relevant internal instructions and external regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with stakeholder to understand the project requirement and work on technical delivery.
  • Ensuring that any issues, or risks, highlighted in testing are addressed in an appropriate manner, and are escalated as required.
  • Ensure compliance with HSBC policy and procedures, together with early identification and effective resolution or escalation of IT control issues as they arise.
  • Identifying the opportunity for automation and lead the activity till closure. 
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Hands on experience GPP product is MUST or on similar Product
  • Must have strong UNIX and shell scripting experience.
  • Should have prior experience of working on LINUX based servers.
  • Should have basic knowledge on middleware products like WAS/MQ/IIB. Should possess strong analytical skills.
  • Should have good experience on DevOps tools like Ansible, GITHUB, Jenkins etc.
  • Added experience on Control-M, Connect:Direct will be an advantage. Added experience on GPP/RTP applications will be an advantage.
  • Should be open to working in UK shift, weekends and post office hour on-call support (all ROTA based). Should have good communication skills and be able to efficiently communicate in the issue investigation calls/chats.
  • Should be forthcoming in highlighting issues and reach out to admin teams (MQ, IIB, UNIX, DBA) in case if help is required from them. Should be a self-starter and motivated to pick issues reported to the Env inbox and start working on it. 

The successful candidate will also meet the following requirements:

  • Knowledge of multiple clearing systems
  • Hands on experience of CI/D pipelines
