GPB is expanding its offshore footprint across multiple sites. This Discretionary Portfolio Management Support will deliver excellent services to our internal clients by developing marketing material, maintaining up to date discretionary publications and supporting the Business Development teams in a reliable and timely manner. The role holder will be dealing with constantly changing investment climate and investor expectations and deliver top quality services to our Discretionary teams, IWS Business Development teams and clients, support the development and rollout of new discretionary mandates, complying with a much more stringent regulatory environment without jeopardizing business flow.

What you’ll do
    • Deliver top quality services (before and after sales) to our Discretionary teams, IWS Business Development teams and clients through:
    • Developing and executing marketing strategies to promote our DPM services, focusing on client engagement and retention;
    • Maintaining and updating discretionary websites and SharePoint to ensure accurate and up-to-date information for clients and stakeholders;
    • Identifying opportunities to streamline marketing processes and procedures for greater efficiency;
    • Developing and producing high quality marketing material and ensuring that Discretionary presentations, pitchbooks, factsheets, communications and performance reports are kept up to date;
    • Performing portfolio reviews and portfolio analysis in a reliable and timely manner;
    • Assist in developing personalised and relevant discretionary content to HSBC staff and clients;
    • Addressing general requests from Discretionary and front office teams related to our Discretionary offering;
    • Contribute to the strategic positioning and development of the discretionary mandate business.
    • Support the launch of new discretionary solutions and the implementation of new regulatory requirements that impact the offering.
    • Review existing discretionary solutions to ensure they are aligned with our clients’ needs, the regulatory requirements and our strategy.
    • Effectively engage and collaborate with IWS and Asset Management teams to ensure alignment of key strategic activities.
    • Ensure integrity of servicing activities and compliance with all HSBC regulatory policies.
    • Collaborate with Portfolio Managers, Business Development and Product Management teams.
    • Deliver fair outcomes for our customers and ensure own conduct maintains the orderly and transparent operation of financial markets.
    • Assist in the improvement of processes to maximize servicing team productivity while maintain highly qualitative output.
    • Regular interactions with Compliance, Legal, Marketing and Business management to ensure appropriateness of offering and material distributed internally and externally.
    • Work closely with Compliance and take pre-emptive measures to reduce/mitigate potential operational risk.

What you need to have to succeed in this role
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in portfolio management support and/or Marketing and/or back/middle/front office support function.
    • An understanding of Banking/Investment products.
    • Strong project and process experience.
    • Pro-active attitude towards problem solving, stakeholders needs and control.
    • Good organization skills with strong attention to details.
    • Hard working and quick learning person with ability to deliver under time constraints.
    • IT knowledge, very good skills with Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint.
    • Fluency in English.
    • Able to build and maintain collaborative working relationships within HSBC Private Banking.
