Enterprise Technology/Compliance IT Department brings together all areas of financial crime risk management at HSBC including anti-money laundering: transaction monitoring, screening, risk assessment etc. and is dedicated to implement the most effective global standards to combat financial crime.
Risk & Compliance technology design and deploy cutting edge technology to defend the bank and its customers from Sanctions Risk, Financial Crime Risk, Identity Threat, Unauthorised Trading and Market Abuse & Regulatory Sanctions, as well as supporting Enterprise Risk Management.  We provide the systems that enable our global businesses to grow through data-driven, pro-active risk management.
Within Surveillance team, we use technology to ensure that HSBC complies with regulatory guidelines applicable to the prevention and detection of any market manipulation attempts.  
The surveillance solutions are heavily dependent on data from internal trading systems and other Compliance systems, as well as market data and news sources.

What you’ll do
    • Design and develop robust technical solutions.
    • Speak to product owner and business on features and requirements.
    • Automate testing and deployment of small and frequent releases.
    • Production availability of your service – if you build the service you own the service.

What you need to have to succeed in this role
    • 5+ Year experience in Software development.
    • Core Java (v11+ and above including workable understanding of generics, concurrence, performance, streams) .
    • Strong in OO and design patterns.
    • Test Driven Development - recent proven development experience using Test Driven Development.
    • Unit/Integration testing – Junit, Mockito etc.
    • Core Spring or other DI framework; familiarity with IoC concepts – familiarity with Spring Integration is desirable but not a must.
    • Strong analytical skills.
    • English at least C1 level.
