Your career opportunity
Manager, TM Operations manages a team of analysts responsible for monitoring and analysing financial transactions. The role involves guiding and coordinating the teams’ effort to detect and prevent the financial crime, ensuring an adherence to regulatory standards and internal policies and providing Business Partners with performance updates.

What you’ll do
    • Ensure effective and timely investigation by team of analysts into assigned cases in accordance with agreed standard for reporting requirements and service level agreements.
    • Ensure that processes are regularly reviewed to identify improvements, which will enhance operational and financial effectiveness.
    • Ensure that adequate controls are in place to avoid any errors resulting in operational loss/regulatory breach.
    • Work closely with the business partners to identify opportunities for improvements to the process and particularly automation initiatives and strengthening of controls.
    • Ensure performance updates/MI reporting etc to the Business at regular intervals or as requested by the Business.
    • Lead and develop an effective team through communication, performance management, development plans and reward/recognition practices. Cultivate an environment that supports diversity and reflects the HSBC brand.
    • Identify potential areas of development and training needs for team members.

What you need to have to succeed in this role
    • Advanced level of knowledge concerning subjects such as: anti-money laundering, terrorist financing, financial crime risks, tax havens and high-risk geographies, etc.
    • Advanced level of understanding of vulnerabilities of bank products and services.
    • Fluency in written and spoken English language.
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in AML/KYC/banking.
    • Evidence of excellent prioritizing, planning and organizing skills.
    • Lateral thinker, with ability to manage change and analytical ability to recognize areas of improvement.
    • People management experience and/or strong leadership skills. 
    • Strong organization and planning skills along with the ability to handle Capacities and MI reporting.
