The financial services industry is subject to increasingly stringent law, regulatory rules and corporate governance obligations towards whistleblowers and ensuring that the sometimes-complex matters and investigation of their concerns are dealt with appropriately.  These requirements include the protection of individuals from retaliation; managing potential conflicts of interests; ensuring that underlying causes are considered; and that appropriate preventive/corrective actions are taken.  This is a sensitive process which needs to be handled with precision and skill, and the exercise of good judgement.  
HSBC Confidential was established to manage and record whistleblowing incidents across the Group. Whilst the core team is relatively small, it deals with risks and concerns across the whole Group, across all functions and across all levels of management, and has effective relations with numerous external stakeholders including regulators, third parties and external auditors.
The Whistleblowing Governance, Data and Analytics Manager is responsible for supporting the effective management of the governance framework and reporting requirements of the Global Whistleblowing Oversight Team, to assist risk stewards and control owners in the discharge of their responsibilities and inform whistleblowing governance and reporting.

What you’ll do
    • Governance: (1) Support secretariat responsibilities for the Global Whistleblowing Oversight Committee, including ensuring timely submission of papers, production of meeting materials, tracking of actions, recording of meeting minutes and management of committee escalations. (2) Production of the regional Whistleblowing Oversight Committee packs; ad-hoc governance papers; drafting presentations for stakeholders (3) Contribute to the completion of periodic committee effectiveness reviews to ensure committees remain fit-for-purpose and governance forums are of appropriate quality (4) Support on the fulfilment of Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs), including maintaining procedures.
    • Controls and Change Management: (1) Support the review and delivery of internal change requests and updates to the third-party case management system (2) Review and support requests relating to compliance requirements and control activities.
    • Data Reporting and analysis: (1) Production of accurate and timely scheduled and ad hoc data reports and KPIs, utilising data from source systems. (2)  Contribute to the optimisation of data reporting processes, leveraging AI and automation (3) Support the completion of quality checking processes to confirm report accuracy. (4) Coordinate responses to both internal and external ad-hoc reporting requests, including requests from regulators. (5) Support on projects and requests for information from Global Whistleblowing stakeholders and senior management, through the analysis and presentation of data (including thematic reporting). 

What you need to have to succeed in this role
    • Fluency in English.
    • Previous experience in governance and reporting activities.
    • Strong knowledge and experience of using Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
    • Experience in the implementation of AI-based solutions and other automations desirable but not essential.
    • Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills.  
    • Broad knowledge of the Group’s businesses and structure.
    • Organisation and planning skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and organisation skills
    • Highly adaptable and proven ability to manage multiple tasks and fast changing deadlines

The pay range for this role is 9041 PLN - 12000 PLN (monthly, gross).

Variable pay is discretionary, but influenced by Group performance, business/function performance and individual performance.
