The Product Owner will be part of the Regulatory Compliance Surveillance team. This team has responsibility for delivery of all product management activities for the Compliance Controls value stream across HSBC. The team ensures that essential systems and data are available to enable Regulatory Compliance to conduct effective and efficient investigations and analytics. We are looking for candidates with a Markets Data & UX background, ideally with experience in the banking or consulting industry who have led similar projects in the past.
What you’ll do:
This Product Owner role is required to:
- Maintain and enhance the roadmap and delivery of the Surveillance Data Explorer app which serves data across all asset classes supporting numerous Trade Surveillance controls.
- Manage the Data Integration and enrichment across numerous Surveillance systems.
- Manage risks and issues to ensure we maintain a performant service to avoid system outages and reduce the likelihood of delays or data corruption.
- Own a book of work for all global change required and support all necessary governance.
- Liaise and maintain relationships with all relevant stakeholders; particularly all upstream Surveillance detection systems (over 15) as well as downstream data consumers (across the bank) as well as being the main point of contact for over 500 users.
- Partnering with Markets and RC colleagues, surveillance SMEs and technology, documenting problem statements, managing the business delivery, oversee the technical delivery, whilst working with other team members to facilitate the changes through the full project or change management lifecycle. This role requires very strong stakeholder management and communication skills. Business analysis and organisational skills. The candidate will need to evidence excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
- Support and enforce a consistent prioritisation process.
- Partner with Business, and technology teams to clarify problems/opportunities, scope and expected outcomes.
What you need to have to succeed in this role
- Relevant experience in Monitoring & Surveillance, Financial Markets or compliance related environment
- Strong working knowledge of Markets Data and User Experience across different LOBs, including also assessing market behaviours.
- Experience with investigations tooling, trade surveillance workflows, or data exploration platforms used by compliance/surveillance teams.
- Ability to support/enforce a consistent prioritisation process (e.g., balancing regulatory/control needs, user value, tech debt, and operational resilience).
- Proven capability to manage and report risks, issues, and actions to prevent service degradation/outages and reduce likelihood of data corruption or delays.
- Ability to define and track measures of success (outcomes/KPIs) for stakeholders and initiatives.
- Proven ability to manage initiatives at scale and oversee delivery through the full project/change lifecycle.
What we offer
The pay range for this role is 19275 PLN - 28916 PLN (monthly, gross). Additional car allowance in the amount of 4786 PLN (monthly, gross).
Variable pay is discretionary, but influenced by Group performance, business/function performance and individual performance.
