As Transaction Services Expert, you will be responsible for managing complex and standard lending in Loan IQ for HSBC Continental Europe, supporting end-to-end credit customer journey across Corporate and Institutional Banking (‘CIB’).
The role will require you to manage operational activities with within defined Service Level Agreements (‘SLA’) and high-level quality, while ensuring that areas of operational risks are identified, monitored and managed effectively to enable business continuity. Adaptability to a changing environment and alignment of operation to strategic decisions will be key to succeed.
The Credit Services Department is built with a highly experienced team of individuals who manages end-to-end process for loan and credit administration for both bilateral and syndicated deals for CIB. Credit Services fundaments are in providing credit & collateral management service for European markets while seeking continued innovations and improvement through digital solutions.
What you’ll do
Manage all structured and syndicated loan files related to asset financing, LBOs, corporate loans, real estate developer loans, international trade-related loans, and buyer credits for standard & complex transactions. Scope of activities cover:
• Daily CRI/CRE on Balance-Sheet & Off- Balance Sheet Reconciliation & Analysis: instruction given to ISV Ops (KL and Paris) for adjustment if needed - monthly all needed adjustments are sent to Finance team for processing. Management of CRE rejects when required.
• Daily CCT (Treasury Accounts) Reconciliation & Analysis via an internal tool LILO-CCT; follow-up with Middle & Back-office (TMU/ISV Sector/ISV Ops Paris/KL) through regular meetings.
• Weekly controls on funding positions for loans via an internal tool IBTOOL (ensure that our Loan deals are correctly covered by internal funding deals).
• Weekly controls of manual accounting entries (samples) & monthly control of Nostro breaks.
• SOX controls.
• Monthly Accounting Certification of Balance-Sheet & Off-Balance Sheet accounts.
• Change management on internal tools: LILO-CCT & IBTOOL.
• Ad hoc queries on different topics from external auditors, tax administration, Finance department.
• Regular production of reports for ISV Ops/ATS, TMU/OCS/ISV Sector.
As part of the Custodian Control of FCT:
• Oversee the setup of new FCTs.
• Ensure the safekeeping of assets and control the inventory of the assets and true existence of the assets bought (in case of delegation of contracts)- Twice a year certification of assets sent to FCT’s external auditors.
• Verify that the management company decisions are compliant with legal and fund regulation through semi-annual controls; meeting once a year between HBCE & the management company to review the management company’s procedures, and any issue / events.
• Monitor publishable legal information when necessary.
• Control the normal or early termination of operations.
• Establish and update documents outlining HSBC’s custodian duties in terms of resources and procedures, submitted to the AMF (French Financial Markets Authority) with the support of Compliance.
• Annual update of “Cahier des Charges” & “Descriptif de la conservation des actifs des organismes de titrisation par HSBC en tant que banque dépositaire » & operational procedures.
• Once a year, submission of all controls & certification realized on each FCT to External auditors for annual attestation of HBCE as FCTs Custodian.
• Maintain close collaboration with Permanent Control, Compliance, Legal and Front departments.
What you need to have to succeed in this role
• University degree in Accounting.
• Experience in banking industry and corporate credit area.
• Knowledge of complex financial credit operations and their accounting treatment, strong understanding of financial and legal aspects of securitization transactions, proficiency in accounting methods.
• Proven record of wide stakeholders’ management across international environment.
• Adaptability, rigor, efficiency, proactivity, dynamism, team spirit.
• Good analytical skills, with ability to multi-task and manage several applications.
• Problems solving skills, excellent communication and ability to work in a team.
• Fluent English (oral and written).
• Proficiency of MS Office.

The pay range for this role is 13,625 PLN - 18,000 PLN (monthly, gross).
Variable pay is discretionary, but influenced by Group performance, business/function performance and individual performance.
