Project Palm relates to the CIB restructure that is committed to the objectives of achieving financial cost commitment and overall simplification. This CTA role sits within the Finance workstream and plays a crucial role in driving the successful execution of CIB’s strategy to transform the business and will require close engagement with key stakeholders to deliver and execute against their transformation milestones. We are looking for a dynamic individual who is analytical, comfortable with large data sets and able to communicate key messages in a clear and concise manner. The role will involve reporting against cost milestones and problem-solving with business representatives across all CIB workstreams.
What you’ll do
- Collaborate with partners across HR, Business, Finance and Group to ensure accurate reporting of CIB’s cost commitments.
- Ensure the reporting of costs adhere to Group criteria and working files are auditable.
- Provide in-depth analysis of complex data sets (e.g. explain actuals versus forecasts) and providing insights to workstreams and senior management in a concise manner.
- Own the financial model for Palm to track performance against Board and market commitments.
- Be the primary contact for reporting related queries and respond to various queries from stakeholder groups, including treatment, tracking, analysis and interpretation of data.
What you need to have to succeed in this role
- Deep cost experience and demonstrable experience of working with TM1.
- Proven track record of data modelling and analysis.
- Ability to articulate the outcomes of complex data sets to a non-Finance audience clearly and concisely.
- Strong excel skill, with proficiency in formulas and functions, pivot table analysis, data manipulation, and the ability to create effective visualisations.
- Creative approach to problem-solving with the ability to focus on details while maintaining the "big picture" view.
- Experience of previously working in restructuring projects advantageous. Excellent communication skills with experience of adapting messaging to various stakeholder groups.
- Ability to juggle a fast-changing work environment and have a strong capability to prioritise; ability to navigate uncertainty.
- Cultivates a continuous improvement and innovative mindset, having at the forefront of mind a desire to streamline and simplify the business through embracing technology / automation and reduction of reliance on manual processes.
- Experience with developing and implementing automation of processes.
