Job description

Role purpose 

The Head of Strategy and Strategy Enablement, Communications Business and Markets (CBAM) supports the Head of Communications, CBAM (HoC CBAM) to drive a high performing team. Working closely with the HoC CBAM and the leadership team, the role holder will oversee and drive key strategic projects and tasks to completion on behalf of the HoC CBAM. You will provide strategic and tactical advice and support to ensure they are fully prepared for key committees, meetings, conferences, offsites etc., as well as working across the function to ensure team members are aligned on a strategic roadmap and to the execution of the plans set within that. You must be able take a forward-looking view to support the implementation of the CBAM strategy.

Principle Accountabilities

In this role you will: 

  • Act as support and advisor for the Head of Communications, CBAM and the wider CBAM leadership team, and build effective relationship to deliver the team strategy and priorities.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders, including Group External Communications, Group Public Affairs and the Group Brand team, to ensure high levels of collaboration to enable effective and timely decision making.
  • Collaborate with the CBAM leaders to enable the benefits of How we Lead and How we Succeed.
  • Facilitate and prepare meetings with the Head of Communications to ensure they are constructive, focused, and outcome-driven, while ensuring readiness for committees and completion of minuted actions.
  • Work closely with the PG&C COO team to ensure effective budget and risk management of the CBAM team.
