We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of HSBC UK Head of Capital Management and Stress Testing.

In this role you will:
• Manage the end-to-end capital planning and forecasting process, including monthly reporting of the forecast capital position to the PRA (PRA101), quarterly updates to the forecast and the annual Financial Resource Plan (FRP), clearly articulating the key constraints and risks and opportunities.
• Oversee the production of all aspects of HSBC UK’s capital and Stress Testing regulatory submissions, including the Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP) and Regulatory and Internal Stress Tests. Lead the presentation of these to the HSBC UK Financial Management Meeting (FMM) and the HSBC UK Board and Risk Committees.
• Manage and develop the HSBC UK Capital Management and Stress Testing team based in the UK and offshore locations.
• Manage the capital impacts of transactions including capital issuances required to meet HSBC UK growth targets (working with the Group Funding team and Markets Treasury), capital injections required to the subsidiaries and other projects and strategic initiatives proposed by the global businesses.
• Partner with the Global Businesses, Strategy and other areas of Finance to achieve the FRP; helping them understand the impact of regulatory change targets, drivers of capital consumption and embedding Return on Tangible Equity (RoTE) Economic Profit in their decision making. Work with stakeholders within Finance to enhance and integrate the planning and stress testing processes, including automation of the capital forecasting process.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
• Previous Capital Management experience at a Senior level is an essential to be considered.
• Demonstrable experience of leading, motivating and innovating a large team.
• Experience of building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders.
• Ability to deliver presentations to various stakeholders.
• Exceptional communication and organisational skills.
This role can be based in Birmingham or London, Hybrid.
