Department: - Global Debt Markets Tech, Markets Sec Services IT

In this role, you will:

• We are looking for an experienced Senior Java developer who will join our delivery team supporting development and maintenance of the Fixed Income STP application 
• A successful candidate must have strong knowledge and skills in both front-end and back-end coding areas in order to support various requirements coming from our business partners
• We expect this person will play one of the key roles in the delivery team - not only when it comes to code development but also in technical consultancy, code reviews, trouble-shooting and guiding other developers 
• Working on code development for new requirements and on fixing existing bugs/defects according to agreed standards and best practices 
• To contribute to requirements gathering and delivery planning in order to meet our business partners’ needs in both quality and on-time delivery aspect
• Consulting closely with business stakeholders to understand their objectives and requirements, developing user stories in association with product owners and with Technical lead
• Working with development team to map requirements to delivery schedules and pipelines, working with testing team to ensure appropriate test cases are executed against requirements Identifying potential issues, reviewing solutions and recommending strategies for solving problems. Provide support to Technical lead responsible for the project delivery
• Conducting research – both in technology but also business process and strategy – to ensure knowledge of best practice needed to support delivery for business stakeholders

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• 5-10 years of IT experience as an individual contributor
• Experience in Agile projects
• Participate in platform improvement initiatives like improvement of performance, production stability
• Self-motivated, enthusiastic and proven rapid learning capability
• Experience working in fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal, presentation and analytical skills

Requirements

• Excellent grasp on Core Java &, Multithreading and experience developing standalone (non web) applications / microservices.
• Strong experience with design and development of FO applications using Integration / Streaming / Reactive Frameworks (e.g. SpringBoot, Apache Camel, Apache STORM etc.)
• Experience architecting solutions for various deployment profiles (On Premise / On Cloud).
• Exposure to Message/Event driven architectures working with with IBM MQ, ActiveMQ, SOLACE etc.
• Exposure to “ION Trading” as the market connectivity platform would be preferred.
• Exposure to industry standard financial message formats such as FIX, FPML etc.
• Exposure to SOAP / RESTfull APIs
• Exposure to message serialization and data interchange using XMLs, Protobufs, JSON etc.
• Strong Exposure on RDBMS (e.g. Oracle) and NOSQL DBs (e.g. MongoDB)
• DevOps & Tooling expertise with exposure to Continuous Integration and Automated Deployments using tools such as Git, ANT, MAVEN, Gradle, Jenkins, Sonar, Ansible etc.
• Exposure to GUI Development using HTML5, JavaScript / Node, ReactJS, Angular etc.

Domain

• Strong exposure in investment banking working on Front Office applications specifically for Fixed Income IT.
• Strong exposure and understanding of electronic markets, trading terminologies, pricing models, reference data.
• In-depth knowledge of Trade Life cycle & Straight Through Processing (STP).
• Familiar with D2D platforms (e.g. BrokerTec, BGC eSpeed, Tullet etc.) and D2C platforms (e.g. TradeWeb, Bloomberg, MarketAxess) and related API usage.
• In-depth knowledge of regulatory reporting guidelines by various regulatory authorities
