Global Analytics Center (GAC):

    Today, the GAC team generates value across the group through a wide variety of data and analytic solutions and related business consulting. GAC has become a one-stop shop for the group’s analytic needs leading the integration of analytics and data-driven decisions not only in traditional areas such as Risk, Retail, Wholesale, Private & Commercial Banking but also in new domains such as Regulatory, Operations, Procurement, Human Resources, and Financial Crime Risk. It provides support to various business groups and the job involves data analysis, model and strategy development & implementation, Business Intelligence, reporting and data management

  • International Wealth and Premier Banking (IWPB) is our new global business combining Premier Banking and Wealth Management to become one of the world’s largest global wealth managers with USD1.4 trillion in assets.   • IWPB business team will leverage richer analytics-driven insights to enable a more personalized approach to targeting and engaging with consumers. From location-based offers to improved service delivery, WPB business will use spending patterns, product use, and channel interactions to enable improved experience-driven banking. WPB business to provide employees with contextual data for smarter consumer engagement and provide management with robust analytics (customer interaction, attrition, loyalty, cost analysis and transactional and behavioral analysis) for ongoing decision-making and also for mitigating regulatory risk. WPB analytics team provide support 30+ markets globally.

Global Business/Global Function - Sub-Function:

  • IWPB’s marketing effectiveness team through data and insights enable business to achieve tangible business outcomes. Deliver cutting edge marketing effectiveness analytics that drive marketing return, business growth across all paid media channels; maximise efficiency of media allocation & performance to drive acquisition & engagement while optimizing cost; embed smart analytics to advance and commercialise marketing effectiveness in markets; ideate and embed smart data products that drive a more effective marketing experience for our customers and improved ROMI for HSBC IWPB markets.
  • Team assists marketing & business teams navigate commercialisation of marketing effectiveness capabilities in market; deploying Global Marketing Effectiveness frameworks; support IWPB Marketing teams with reporting, analysis and insight capabilities as required; bring to life cross channel behaviour, attitudes, affinities and propensities and act as the focal point for marketing effectiveness capabilities that deliver data driven insight.

What you’ll do:

  • The incumbent in this role owns the end-to-end customer data lifecycle—collection, unification, segmentation, activation, and measurement—using a modern CDP to power real-time audiences for paid media and lifecycle channels. The incumbent operationalizes event and profile data across the martech/adtech stack to improve targeting efficiency and conversion. Analyze audience performance and journey KPIs; recommend refinements to rules, eligibility windows, and recency/frequency thresholds and explore, recommended suitable AI capabilities to drive business value.
  • Paid Media and CDP Audience Management team member has the following Key responsibilities:
    Build and maintain unified profiles and identity resolution rules in a CDP (e.g., Tealium AudienceStream, Lytics, Segment) to create actionable, persistent audience segments in real time. 
  • Define, implement, and govern event/data layer schemas; create and QA custom events, attributes, and enrichments that map to marketing and analytics use cases.
  • Orchestrate audience activation via native connectors and APIs to paid media platforms (social, DSPs, search), email/SMS, personalization, analytics, and customer support tools; ensure timely, accurate syndication
  • Partner with media teams to launch, suppress, and incrementally test audiences; analyze performance impact on CPA, ROAS, and LTV; iterate segments based on results. 
  • Lead requirements gathering with marketing, product, analytics, and engineering; translate business goals into CDP use cases, data contracts, and activation roadmaps.
  • Build and publish segments (e.g., high-value, churn risk, in-market) with rules and enrichment logic; schedule and monitor destination syncs.
  • Evaluate and optimize the martech stack; pilot new CDP features (predictive scoring, real-time pipelines) and vendor integrations to expand audience capabilities.
  • Present findings to stakeholders

Management of Risk/Internal Controls/Compliance:

  • The jobholder will continually reassess the operational risks associated with the role and inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructurings, and the impact of new technology.
  • The jobholder will also adhere to and be able to demonstrate adherence to internal controls. This will be achieved by adherence to all relevant procedures, keeping appropriate records and, where appropriate, by the timely implementation of internal and external audit points, including issues raised by external regulators.
  • The jobholder will implement the Group compliance policy by containing compliance risk in liaison with Global Head of Compliance, Global Compliance Officer, Area Compliance Officer or Local Compliance Officer. The term ‘compliance’ embraces all relevant financial services laws, rules and codes with which the business has to comply. 
  • This will be achieved by adhering to all relevant processes/procedures and by liaising with Compliance department about new business initiatives at the earliest opportunity. Also and when applicable, by ensuring adequate resources are in place and training is provided, fostering a compliance culture and optimising relations with regulators.
Requirements

What you will need to succeed in the role:

  • Minimum 7–9 years in martech/adtech or analytics with 3+ years hands-on in a CDP such as Tealium AudienceStream, Lytics, Segment (segment.io), or Adobe RT-CDP, including audience building and activation.
  • At least master’s degree in computer science, Engineering or other quantitative fields of study
  • Proven hands-on expertise with CDP platforms (Tealium AudienceStream, Lytics, Segment.io, or similar).
  • Experience with analytics platforms (e.g., Adobe Analytics, GA) and on-site personalization engines; ability to syndicate enriched attributes for content targeting. 
  • Good wrking knowledge of SQL or APIs for custom destinations, server-side pipelines, and data validation workflows. 
  • Demonstrated success driving campaigns across paid media ecosystems (Google, Meta, LinkedIn, DSPs, affiliates).
  • Exposure to predictive audiences or ML scoring (e.g., Tealium Predict) and incrementality/holdout design for paid media.

  • Strong business acumen with out-of-the box thinking to drive improved business performance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to develop and effectively communicate complex concepts and ideas
  • Hands-on activation to paid media and lifecycle destinations; experience mapping attributes, managing identifiers, validating match rates, and reconciling delivery.  
  • Ability to lead independently in a matrixed environment and influence senior stakeholders.

Tools and ecosystem

  • CDP: Tealium AudienceStream, Segment, Lytics, Adobe RT-CDP, Salesforce Data Cloud (or similar).  
  • Collection and TMS: Tealium iQ, server-side/event collection, SDKs , MMP (AppsFlyer).  
  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms (Snowflake, GCP, AWS, Azure).
  • Destinations: Paid media platforms, email/SMS, CRM, personalization, analytics, data warehouse, reverse ETL.
