What you’ll do: 

Data Management Key responsibilities

  • Strong end to end knowledge of front core Banking systems, BI/Risk systems and HBCE reporting systems.
  • Timely address the material gaps identified during the reconciliation process (Ledger vs sub-ledgers) for various entities, carry out In-depth analysis of 165+ sub-ledgers and deliberately work to address roadblocks, tracking towards our deadlines and align on progress for all the key deliverables.
  • Engage with the DWF IT, change IT and various stakeholders as and when required, responding to queries in a timely manner, and build a strong working relationship.
  • Provide subject-matter expertise to the team on change events, and building strong relationships with IT and other stakeholders for issue resolution, process improvement, and change management.

FRGP Reporting (RUBA reporting)

  • Own end-to-end local regulatory reporting for the French branch, and liaise with the Regulator as and when required.
  • Responsible for the delivery of the local regulatory reporting requirements to the ACPR, on monthly, quarterly and annual bases.
  • Support the end-to-end data flow in Evolan tool for local regulatory reporting for the French branch.
  • Oversee French GAAP BS and P&L, ensuring adherence to Standards and keeping abreast of new developments.
  • Responsible for the French GAAP primary statement end-to-end process, from DWF (Financial Data Warehouse) primary statements to SURFI/RUBA to input into local tax returns. Understanding both accounting and system interactions, and taking action as required for issue resolution.
  • Keep abreast of ACPR reporting changes, and working with local IT and other stakeholders to incorporate into BAU reporting.
  • Manage financial control framework and activities (i.e. Audit requests, review and challenge, process improvement, etc.)
  • Be the key point of contact for France Financial Control initiatives (e.g. senior stakeholder engagement, new products, system changes etc.)  
  • Working closely with key stakeholders when new products and transactions arise, to ensure compliance with French GAAP.
  • As a senior member of the team, working with the Head of Finance to provide support to the Financial Controllers, ensuring consistent control frameworks and practices are in place through:
  • Robust control framework for month-end close process and ensuring deadlines are met
  • P&L and BS variances are understood from both business and technical accounting perspective
  • Delivery of MI and Analytical Reporting to relevant stakeholders

Accountable for:

  • Provision of well-grounded analysis for own areas of accountability to enable sound understanding of business requirements and informed decision making.
  • Analyse the systems’ architecture and understand existing solutions to assess how to leverage and enhance them.
  • Support project management with business and technical documentation
  • Design and implement data transformation process.
  • Gain understanding of the change in banking operations and other activities performed by the Group.
  • Understand the business/finance meaning behind reporting system`s specifications.
  • Investigate the source of required information and design the logic of obtaining such information. 
Requirements

What you will need to succeed in the role:

  • CA:  minimum 3-4 yrs, of post-qualification experience
  • Sound Accounting & Financial Reporting knowledge.
  • Strong Understanding of IFRS, FRENCH GAAP requirements related to product control.
  • Good understanding of IFRS, FinRep and GSIB reporting requirements.
  • Exposure to treasury reporting schedules would be preferable.
  • Exposure to multiple systems and database handling. Prior experience in Saracen submissions preferable.
  • Ability to understand numbers and their impact. Drive and achieve accuracies across report deliveries.
  • High level analysis skills, including the ability to look at the bigger picture and interpret data & trends in the context of business, as well as
  • the ability to work quickly & accurately to tight deadlines
  • Knowledge of, and experience in planning and organizing techniques as well as in problem solving techniques
  • Self-driven, with the ability to lead teams and work within a team
  • Flexibility to work in accordance with Business requirements
  • Capable of working with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into process / data maps, etc.
  • Strong attention to detail and being solution oriented
  • Complex analytical reasoning skills enabling appraisal of the Global reporting requirements and translate into functional requirements for
  • system development
  • Strong communication skills (both oral and written) and an ability to communicate complex ideas in a simple manner to a global audience
  • Willing to challenge the status quo, be proactive and innovative in driving change
  • Willing to travel if needed
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS related products i.e PowerPoint, Excel.

Additional Skills

  • Prior experience in Financial Accounting and Reporting.
  • Knowledge of FINREP/GSIB /IFRS reporting
