The Opportunity:  

Business Consulting job family is structured to address end-to-end business needs. Members of this Job Family are differentiated by their capability of providing the required consultation & work with end-business by way of assessing the requirements, identifying the right analytical solution that can solve for the business problem, and developing the same for execution – often covering areas of business growth, improving customer experience, limiting risk exposure, enhancing internal business processes etc.,. They are required to, as necessary, embed agile & exploratory practices into their approach as needed, and retain the flexibility to change track to adopt other solutions based on changed scenarios, in order to deliver on effective results. This talent group can be tapped into for providing solutions for varying areas including improving existing processes, technology and approaches by embedding exploratory & analytics & taking it forward with a consulting mind set.

  

What you’ll do:     

  • Translate business problems to analytical solution based framework.

  • Build strong partnerships with multiple business areas across markets to identify opportunities and drive value growth.

  • Play a lead role in developing regular Management Information or customer analysis reports in line with requirements.

  • Play a key role in building actionable hypotheses about customer behavior or market trend, designing advanced analytical approach, and applying the right mix of machine learning / AI techniques to support business decision-making.

  • Write concise reports with marketing insights supported by solid analytics and logical thinking. Conduct presentations and make recommendations as appropriate to senior management.

  • Managing stakeholder expectations related to timelines and deliverables - includes setting the right expectations consistently and meeting/ exceeding them regularly for the team.

Requirements

What you will need to succeed in the role:       

  • University degree in related fields (e.g. Computer Science, Mathematics, Financial Engineering, Physics, Big Data, Electrical Engineering).

  • Demonstrated proficiency in multiple programming languages with SAS, Python, SQL

  • Banking, insurance or financial working experience or with modeling and analysis on Clouds are preferred.

  • Hands-on experience in delivering a modeling and analytics function in a large scale organization.

  • Team player with business and data sensitivity.

  • Communication and presentation in both Chinese and English.

 

 

What additional skills will be good to have?     

  • Knowledge in machine learning, deep learning, AI etc.

  • Development and implementation experience in, customer recommendation system, social network analysis, NLP/NLU, path analysis (browsing behavior or geolocation), imagine recognition.
