We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Marketing Effectiveness Manager.

The UK Customer function is dedicated to supporting HSBC's strategic and revenue growth priorities by delivering fair outcomes for customers. This involves understanding customer needs and developing brand marketing strategies, campaigns, and activities that enhance the HSBC brand, drive revenue, and increase customer value and satisfaction to meet market-level targets and objectives.
As a Performance Marketing Manager, you will be part of the Insight Strategy & Effectiveness team within the UK Customer function. This role spans all lines of business (WPB, CMB) and brands (HSBC UK, first direct, M&S Bank). You will focus on targeting and measuring marketing activities through complex data analysis to deliver insights and prompt action. Your responsibilities include designing and running controlled experiments to demonstrate the impact of marketing activities, delivering incremental results, optimizing spend and activity, and supporting strategic decision-making through the planning process.

In this role you will:

•  Embed the Performance strategy and incorporate Marketing Performance & Effectiveness learnings into business briefs and campaign development
•  Collaborate with the marketing team to set performance measurement standards with clear and measurable objectives
•  Ensure marketing performance results are reported and translated to enable continuous improvement and optimization
•  Regularly report on campaigns, providing actionable learnings and optimizations
•  Utilize data (mixed media modelling/econometrics) to support strategic decision-making on media and spend

Requirements

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

•  Expertise in Econometrics (MMM) or evidence of working with it
•  Excellent understanding of data and marketing technologies (DV360, MMM, MTA) and the ability to integrate them
•  Ability to analyse complex data to deliver insights and prompt action
•  Influencing / presenting complex information in a clear and actionable way, to the stakeholders point
•  Experience in strengthening models by feeding into and isolating test & learn to prove marketing activity impact

This role is based in Leeds, Birmingham, Chester or Sheffield.
