We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Manager, Performance.

Role purpose (overall high-level summary of the role)
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Manager, Performance to enhance our global marketing function for Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB). This role primarily focuses on developing comprehensive performance reports and narratives, as well as supporting marketing strategy development and articulation.

This role is critical to ensuring that marketing aligns with the bank’s global priorities and demonstrates clear, measurable impact on business performance. It’s ideal for a marketer who thrives on data, strategy, and cross-functional execution.

Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities (e.g., for Business, Customers and Stakeholders; internal control environment, etc.)

In this role you will:

Performance Measurement & Reporting

  • Develop and maintain detailed marketing performance dashboards linked to key business metrics such as client engagement, brand health, and campaign ROI
  • Prepare and deliver regular performance reports to marketing and business leadership, highlighting insights and actionable recommendations
  • Collaborate with data and analytics teams to establish KPIs and benchmarks for marketing initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives

Strategic Marketing Planning

  • Support the development of marketing strategies that align with business goals, providing data-driven insights to inform decision-making
  • Assist in translating commercial objectives into actionable marketing initiatives, focusing on performance outcomes and expected impacts
  • Contribute to the coordination of marketing calendars and campaign roadmaps across client segments and product verticals

Budget & Investment Management

  • Assist in evaluating marketing mix performance and channel efficiency to inform budget allocation and investment decisions
  • Collaborate with Finance and Business Management to align on forecasts and return on investment frameworks, ensuring performance insights are integrated

Governance, Process & Operational Excellence

  • Support governance and operational processes across marketing planning and execution, ensuring performance metrics are consistently applied
  • Advocate for the use of effective tools and measurement methodologies to enhance reporting accuracy and insights

Leadership & Teamwork

  • Act as a supportive partner to marketing leaders, providing performance insights to guide go-to-market strategies and business alignment
  • Promote a culture of performance through transparency, insight, and continuous improvement
  • Encourage Agile principles and cross-functional collaboration within the team
  • Support the creation of a diverse environment that reflects HSBC's brand values
Requirements

Functional Knowledge

To be successful you will need:

  • Extensive years of experience in marketing performance analysis or reporting roles within financial services or B2B environments
  • Strong expertise in developing performance reports and dashboards, with a focus on marketing KPIs and business metrics
  • Familiarity with marketing strategy and planning processes
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and synthesize into actionable insights
  • Experience in matrixed organizations and collaboration across business and marketing leadership
  • Strong communication skills for presenting insights to stakeholders
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field preferred
