We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Merchant Growth Manager, PayMe.

Principal Responsibilities

In this role you will

  • Assist with the execution of business initiatives and activities in support of PayMe’s vision and objectives
  • Facilitate stakeholder communications and engagement within PayMe across various internal teams
  • Foster & encourage teamwork, staff participation and contribution towards process improvements and controls
  • Provide subject matter expertise into PayMe for Business(PM4B) related transformation programmes (both tech and non-tech) and support programme execution representing merchant growth team
  • Manage partners and internal stakeholders with an agile approach to support successful delivery of the projects and ensuring benefits realization, collaborate with internal stakeholders from other Global Businesses and Global Functions to deliver joint-up propositions
  • Provide performance insights and reporting to support decision-making and strategic planning to maximise revenue and merchant value at a portfolio level and improve business proposition
  • Participate and support in business and strategic planning – conducting relevant analysis, composing presentations, drafting reports, assisting with key documents such as business plans
  • Inform on external market trends and current thought leadership, including competitor analysis, identifying potential development opportunities for PayMe for Business(PM4B). Engaging and supporting the Senior Leadership Team on diverse projects as required
Requirements

To be successful you will need

  • Possess commercial awareness and strong presentation skills
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills; ability to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences
  • Managing all internal stakeholders through excellent influencing skills and successfully collaborating and establishing relationships with stakeholders
  • Strong strategic thinking skills and the capability to support delivery of large change programmes whilst also managing an important, growing client facing ‘run the bank’ service
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills with experience working under pressure, with a proven ability to prioritize competing demands
  • Demonstrate a focus on execution – components of this role will be new to PayMe and the industry, and a successful candidate will need to influence others with a desire 'to get things done' by key deadlines
  • Project management/ strategy experience is an advantage but not essential
  • Must have a clear understanding of HSBC Values
