The Opportunity:
Global Private Banking & Wealth (GPB&W) team opens a new chapter in its global footprint by building a new team in Foshan to support Asia Chief Operating Office (COO). The role holder will be a part of a fast growing and international business. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing daily operational duties of Corporate Actions supporting GPB COO Operations in Asia. The role holder will be working closely with stakeholders in GPB&W’s Asia booking centers and will be expected to share innovative ideas to increase quality, efficiency and effectiveness of the process. It is a great opportunity to develop your skills in fast paced and leading Private Banking Team.
What you’ll do:
- Provide operational and services support for corporate action events processing.
- Perform processing and posting of all corporate action events accurately and within restricted timelines.
- Manage client instructions and captured appropriately within the preset deadline.
- Prepare all instructions within custodian deadline time, funding or system cut off time.
- Assist to reconcile outstanding items as guided by the supervisors.
- Follow up closely on outstanding cases and discrepancies.
- Complete daily control sheets and report exceptional cases by end of each business day
- Update and complete corporate action blotters before day end.
- Handle business partners’ inquiries promptly within reasonable time.
- Deliver corporate action events and information to marketing teams for onward delivery to clients within preset timeframes.
- Report exception and irregularities promptly for management awareness.
- Be flexible to perform any assignment/task or ad hoc projects per request.
What you will need to succeed in the role:
- Good knowledge of banking products across different asset classes.
- Experience in banking or securities operations.
- Experience in high transaction volume that requires manual processing with narrow processing window.
- Strong numerical skills and computer knowledge.
- Good communication and problem solving skills with proficiency in English and working knowledge of Simplified/Traditional Chinese.
