Working with institutional investors, banks, insurance companies, governments and multinational corporations, Securities Services offers a range of fund administration, global custody, sub-custody and clearing, and corporate trust and loan agency services.  

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Officer, Global Trustee and Fiduciary Services. 

Principal Responsibilities

  • To act as a trustee and ensure that we operate in accordance with local regulatory requirements and GTFS Benchmarks, where required, escalate deviations that are recognized to line manager
  • Align with department plans to centralize operating model and on streamlining initiatives including but not limited to regularly question the current process and find ways to enhance the process and procedures to ensure the maximum efficiency and recommend new ways/ideas to gadget efficiency
  • Work with other GTFS and Securities Services functions and escalate issues where required
  • Regularly engage with clients on fiduciary matters as they arise
  • Maintain continuous engagement with the team and obtain feedback, work on ways to spread positive can attitude among colleagues
  • Speak up when something does not feel right
  • Participate in team activities / group learning / cross-team knowledge sharing
  • Participate in more internal events / join project or interest groups, where possible
  • Ensuring that duties as Trustee are performed in accordance with applicable IGSA / PLA’S / operational procedures.
  • Maintain excellent relationships with the Off Shore teams communicating with them in a professional, clear and concise manner and meeting all deadlines
  • Provide accurate Management Information Statistics in a timely fashion as agreed on a case by case basis
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Understanding of HSBC’s GB procedures
  • Candidate will have extensive working experience in the securities industry, to include: Knowledge of clients and products across range of securities services, Management position with exposure to business partners across multiple geographical locations, Management position with exposure to remuneration, performance management, team building and staff development. Fund Administration/Custody, with experience in Pricing, Reconciliations and GAV/NAV preferred
