The Opportunity:

  • A supporting role supporting, executing our Product quality framework with global coverage to include:
  • Supporting with the development and ongoing execution of a robust, strategic framework to test the effectiveness of the processes, systems and controls designed to delivery customer outcomes across all functions and products within Securities Services.
  • Data driven techniques for proactive product oversight to designed to both prevent issues and identify emerging trends. 
  • Responsible for the delivery of Governance & Reporting – to oversee, support and deliver fit for purpose governance arrangements and related reporting.
  • Assurance & Monitoring – Develop / leverage comprehensive risk metrics (Key Risk Indicators - KRIs) to monitor and report on the effectiveness of processes.
  • Support with the identification of design weaknesses and recommend necessary improvements, driving these changes into the Business as Usual (BAU) environment. 
  • Collaborate with global stakeholders to enhance the operating model and ensure the effective implementation of process design.

What you’ll do:

Customers / Stakeholders

  • Support the SSv Product quality management in ensuring the appropriate quality standards of our products are met and continually measured.
  • Ensure succinct and concise communication of risk matters and emerging trends across SSv, Markets & Securities Services (‘MSS’), the
  • Global Functions and other relevant areas of the bank.
  • Provide consistent internal and external benchmarking, where appropriate.

Product effectiveness & Control - Foster a proactive control mindset and culture within the team and across the organization.

  • Collaborate with NFR, Audit, Risk, Compliance, IT, Product Leads, Client Management and Operations and other relevant teams to implement and test lessons learned from Operational Risk Events (OREs), including GEMs and Helios incidents and 2nd and 3rd line reviews.
  • Implement best practices for the operating model and controls framework to ensure continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Conduct risk-based thematic reviews front to back to identify trends and areas for improvement, leading to enhanced outcomes in servicing and customer outcomes.
Requirements

What you will need to succeed in the role:

  • Data driven and focused mindset (Data scientist)
  • Experience in quality / assurance standards such as Six Sigma
  • Good understanding of the SSv product suite an advantage.
  • Data driven and focused mindset.

  • Self-starter, keen to identify problems and take ownership to conclusion.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem solving and prioritization skills and be able to perform multitask under pressure with a keen eye for detail.
