Here at HSBC Australia we have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Control Assurance Officer to join us on a Secondment lasting until 31 December 2024 in our Parramatta office. The role reports into the WPB Quality Control Manager for the WPB Quality Control function and will perform several tasks related to the Quality Control processes including reviewing sales and ensuring that all the relevant reviews are carried out accurately across home loans, FX trades, wealth products and QA of complaints review. This role will be for QA complaints review to ensure HSBC’s customers are treated fairly and are recommended products that are suitable for their needs and appetite for risk. It will ensure that the sales journey has been conducted and documented as well as being compliant with regulatory obligations, current legislation, compliance and departmental procedures.


Responsibilities:

  • Perform ongoing Quality Control Reviews for QA complaints ensuring the adherence to local regulatory requirements, and HSBC policies and procedures
  • Publish Management Information reports for WPB on Quality Control results monthly, quarterly and ad hoc (as required), assisting WPB
  • Management in identifying and containing Quality Control Risk
  • Enhance and improve the sales journey for WPB retail and wealth products of coaching, guidance and support through face-to-face and support of in-house sales training
  • Compliance online learning completed within stipulated due dates
  • Act as a key stakeholder in an advisory capacity for all Quality Control enquiries across WPB
  • Provide timely feedback to the distribution team on reviews undertaken to ensure customers are not disadvantaged
Requirements

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification or Degree (desired not required)
  • Strong attention to detail 
  • Organisational skills and the ability to understand urgency and prioritisation when required
  • Sound decision making regarding review of sales journey on WPB Retail and wealth products
  • Successful behaviors include; Speaking up with ideas to improve or enhance processes, identifying risks and contributing management meeting 
  • Communicate and articulate well to all stakeholders with confidence (written and verbal)


Preference will be given to candidates who hold Australian PR/Citizenship or New Zealand Citizenship, or who can demonstrate current unrestricted work rights in Australia without limitations.
