Technology teams in the UK work closely with our global businesses to help design and build digital services that allow our millions of customers around the world, to bank quickly, simply and securely. They also run and manage our IT infrastructure, data centres and core banking systems that power the world’s leading international bank. Our multi-disciplined teams include: DevOps Engineers, IT Architects, Front and Back End Developers, Infrastructure specialists, Cyber experts, as well as Project and Programme managers.

As part of the FCS function within WPB (Wealth and Personal Banking), the ‘CDS’ Value Stream (VS) is responsible for the IT systems which facilitate credit decisions (Accept, Decline, Refer) to the front end channels for new (Account Origination) and existing (Account Management) customer journey’s. The FCS function are looking for an individual to become the UK Regional Lead for CDS, aswell as Fraud and Collections. The successful candidate will be the primary IT face-off for the region and will be accountable for FCS implementations in region.

In this role you will:

  • Build trusted relationships with business stakeholders for the region & sites deliveries 
  • Lead major programmes where required
  • Control budgets, communicate financial variances and have a comprehensive understanding of HSBC financial processes.
  • Be able to understand complex business requirements, new technologies and be able to influence teams to adopt new practices.
  • Working with the respective markets to understand emerging customer needs and opportunities.
Requirements

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Extensive and proven track record of managing and influencing complex stakeholders at all levels within IT and the business, plus building lasting relationships
  • Extensive Programme Management experience, leading major / complex IT programmes to deliver benefit to the business.
  • Extensive experience of managing risks and issues, and working with IT and Business stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
  • Background in Agile and the adoption of best practises
  • Experience working within the CDS and / or Fraud IT domain
