The role of Senior Business Manager for the Group Chief People & Governance Officer (CP&GO) is an important member of the team in the office of the GCP&GO, supporting with tact, confidentiality, discretion and agility across the full range of the duties of the GCP&GO. Reporting through the Chief of Staff, People Governance & Communications (PG&C) the role involves teamwork, information management and delivery of the PG&C priorities. The pace, complexity and nature of the work may occasionally require attention outside of standard working hours.  Your adaptability will be imperative, as two days are rarely the same.

In this role you will work closely with other team members in the Office of the GCP&GO to:

• Manage issues of a confidential nature, prioritising and managing tasks and formulating actions on behalf of the GCP&GO and/or Chief of Staff, PG&C.  
• Coordinate the PG&C Leadership Team meetings, including setting agendas, capturing actions and ensuring follow up. 
• Help coordinate and support the CP&GO with internal and external stakeholder engagement including but not limited to regulators, investors, customers and industry forums as required from time to time.  
• Support the GCP&GO in discharge of her SMR responsibilities and delivery of operational and regulatory projects and regulatory submissions. 

Requirements

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

• Have a high level of expertise and experience in prioritising and managing critical tasks and information. 
• Have experience of operating in a People function in a specialist, strategic or partnering role.
• Be highly organised at managing and tracking information.
• Have excellent communication skills with demonstrable ability to tailor both verbal and written content at an executive level. 
• Have demonstrable capability of working with highly sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality. 
• Be adaptable with an ability to work well in a team and influence widely.

This role can be based in any of our major UK locations on a hybrid basis with a requirement to travel to London as needed.
