Insurance Distribution is providing a digital solution to support business for lead generation and point of sales in both HSBC internal and 3rd party channels and providing post sales service to insurance customers. It adopts different digital solutions (e.g. Tablet, MWS, WeChat eco-systems, mobile app, and Salesforce) in the whole journey and integrating with other insurance applications.

The Opportunity: 
HTC Insurance IT provides technology solutions to Regional Insurance in Asia Pacific. It is responsible for the delivery and support of a portfolio of world class software to enable the HSBC Insurance strategy in Asia Pacific. HSBC Insurance is a rapidly growing business, manufacturing a full range of insurance products in global.
The primary focus for software delivery, includes software design, development, testing, support and architecture.


What you’ll do: 
Act as Salesforce POD Lead for a key functional stream to support WPB Insurance IT strategy to uplift the capability in the domain working closely with business and various stakeholders.
Maintain close relationship with all stakeholders and business teams and provide support to the program activities across business and technology teams.
Provide effective technical solution for end-to-end business processes or functions.
Ensure high quality standard and on time delivery under Agile methodology.
Be accountable for leading in working across the Technology delivery lifecycle including inception, construction, testing, release and ongoing management of a product or service.
Responsible for automating the continuous integration / continuous delivery pipeline within a DevOps Product/Service team driving a culture of continuous improvement.
Establish a digital environment and automate processes to minimize variation and ensure predictable high-quality code and data.
End to end accountability for a product or service, identifying and developing the most appropriate Technology solutions to meet customer needs as part of the Customer Journey.
Conduct risk assessment, identify and resolve all potential risks and issues, provide effective mitigation and contingency plan.
Align with HSBC DevOps standard and provide support to DevOps teams working at all stages of a product or service release/change.
Support delivery team capability uplift.

Requirements

What you will need to succeed in the role: 
10+ years' IT software engineering experience of software developments with both Water-Fall and Agile methodologies.
At least two years’ Salesforce engineering experience.
Strong communication skills in spoken and written English & Mandarin. Fluent English is mandatory.
Proven experience in architectural / technical design of IT systems.
Knowledge in micro-service, API design is essential.
Solid experience on automated build, test automation, CI/CD tools to accelerate DevOps change in the team.
Solid skills of analytical and problem solving, able to drive independently, proactively and under pressure against multiple deadlines.
Enthusiastic and self-motivated with excellent time management skills and strong initiative.
Demonstrable ability to mentor, develop talent and motivate staff to reach their optimum performance levels and career development.
Business knowledge in life insurance domain will be an advantage.
